So I just got my PS3 dropped off, and the first thing I noticed upon taking everything out of the box, the controller is tiny. I remember back in the day I loved the PS2 controller (and I know there the same size but its been so long) and I was iffy about getting a 360 because of how big the controller was. Well now I love the 360 controller, the size is perfect, and after using one fo those for so long, this PS3 controller just seems so tiny. I know I will get used to it again, but the first thing that came to mind was, man what the fudge is this thing.

The size of the PS3 controller doesn't bother me so much as the lack of heft. They're far too light and hollow-feeling...even the DS3. It feels awkward. |

...oh, and those weird mushy L2/R2 "triggers" are odd too. I liked the old Dual Shock 1/2 R2/L2 buttons better. |

Yeah, it does feel too light, and I just noticed the elongated buttons, which is very odd.

Agreed. The PS3 controller(even the DS3) feels too light to me. I also hate the new L2/R2 triggers, prefer the 360's style of triggers way more.

Does anyone know if there is a DS3 3rdparty that is large like the 360? probably not, but it would be nice.

sticks too close together and the material on the thumbsticks seem to slip if I'm holding it in the same position (such as running a long distance on a FPS or trying to snipe while loosely pushing the sticks in any direction). I have to take my hand off the stick and put it back again (which often leads to my death)

I like the PS 1/2/3 analog sticks. They've always been really accurate. I don't like the 360 analog sticks because they have such a huge dead spot, and they're too hard to press softly. |

I pretty much agree. I also find that if I don't clean the 360 sticks after each use, they are more prone to gunk build-up.
I'm currently looking for Sonic The Hedgehog comics. If you have any, send me a message.

Dreamcast has the best analog stick sensitivity and dead zone-wise that I've ever seen. It's a shame that it's straight plastic (no soft rubber coating) and the controller is so uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time (after hours of jet set radio, my hands just ACHE). |

I thought the GameCube had the best sticks. Too bad other parts of the controller sucked.

GC and DC both had the best analogs, but of this gen, the PS3's are the best (since they're just PS1/2 stick, lol), but the PS3 controller isn't all that great overall, unfortunately. |

I could not stand the GC controller, still can't.

Well I played around with controller for a while, played the NCAA Football demo and the inFamous demo, and then about an hour of Ratchet and Clank future tools of destruction (which is pretty fun) and I remember why I loved the PS2 controller so much.
