Looks awesome and I usually hate fighting games. Gonna give it a rent and decide if its worth the buy.

It isnt bad, I like it more than guilty gear. Really nice graphics too, story mode is a bit weird though since you have to go through it a few times making different choices to get 100%. |

i like MvC2, but didn't catch on to Guilty Gear. any reason to get this?

MVC2 sucks compared to Guilty Gear.

Graphically Guilty Gear is the pinnacle of 2D fighting games. The mechanics are also pretty awesome. This is why I become so interested in this fighter. These series of fighters are much better than MVC2

MVC2 isn't really a fighting game. It's a game where you mash buttons and press 2 buttons together to do some insane ultra move that takes no skill, while killing your opponent with block damage.
When I play this on my dreamcast, I can't even win a match without going to time. This is the most poorly executed, overhyped garbage I've ever played as far as a fighting game goes.
Now, as a multiplayer game just for craps it's not so bad. Anyone can pick it up and do OK in it because the mechanics were made for monkeys. 
As you can tell, I have a deep hatred for MVC 2.

MVC2 pwns. You need to watch some people that are really good playing it and then say it's just a button masher.

I've seen a lot of people that are really good at it play it. I know some people that are absolutely ridiculous at that game. But regardless, it's a poor fighting game. The first one was better.

I've seen people who were fudging amazing at this suck at every other Street Fighter. MVC2 is a completely accessible fighter I don't agree with Frank about it sucking but lets be reasonable, its a button masher.
I could never really get into any of the Capcoms cross over fighters. I was to busy playing SF Alpha 3 when this was in arcades.

i got the limited edition with the special promo artbook for the ps3. im going to swap my limited edition at gamestop though cause it has a knife slit on the botton corner of box and being a collector i cant take my eyes off that slit.
the artbook is very very nice though.

Dude I used my blanka fight pad the other day for the first time, and I'm pissed that I opened it. What a poorly made pile of crap.
I need a Saturn to USB connector so I can use a real controller on the 360. The Madcatz ones are enormous and feel like they're going to break when I push a button. >_<

You're right. I'll trust your opinion--someone who hasn't played the game--over theirs. Thanks for saving me money on what is almost certainly a sucky game!

Just ordered this with Best Buy In-Store pickup. Couldn't find the PS3 version anywhere online.
Can I expect any bait-and-switch funny business when I go to pick it up, or am I going to be playing it on my Akuma pad tonight? |
