I just got this game today via Goozex, and upon lookiing at the manual, I'm noticing its only 6 pages long and has button configurations and credits for some random star wars game - is anyone else's like that?
Also, didn't this game come with a small miniposter/chart...hthing?

Short version: you got a bootleg. hope you didn't leave feedback yet...
Sega Genesis, you will be missed. May you reach heaven and
may God plug you into his own TV and play all your classics Himself.

Take a look at the at the pins. You should be able to make out a Copyright 200x Nintendo in white letters. If not, then it's probably a bootleg.

It was confirmed a bootleg.
I had to take a magnifying glass to it, but instead of having a Nintendo stamp on the back it was stamped "Ninfendo". I informed the sender from goozex of this and he cancelled the trade and told me to keep it anyways., so now I'm deciding what to do with this.

Can it hold saves? I know most bootlegs can't. If it can, might as well keep it
I just recently started up Phantasy Star for SMS. It's a lot like the first Dragon Warrior.

Nice McGuirk! One of only 3 SMS games I actually enjoy!

It actually can keep saves - I've had one on PS2 last overnight so far, and the previous owner never had an issue with it. Still though, this "Ninfendo" cart is a pox on my entire collection, so I may as well find someone who would like to give it a good home.
(no, I'm not trading it here, I'm not that stupid)

If you send it to me, I'll burn it on a cross and record it.

I had gotten a bootleg once before in the case of Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance. There's just so much to have to watch out for nowadays, though a quick round of Spot the Bootleg at local game stores is always a blast.
Final Fantasy VII: Reasonable Edition now available on PSN. Enjoy. |

Too bad Phantasy Star sucks anyway and bootleg or authentic shouldn't sway your decision to burn it. |
