How did I miss this game? What a cool little Western FPS/Action Adventure. I got it for $15 new on ebay. Pretty smooth and enjoyable gameplay. It has a bit of sneaking around and platforming, but its a nice change up. The outdoor environments are endless it seems, very immersive feeling. Plus its a Western themed game, hell yeah. This game is never talked about but its pretty kick ass. Concentration mode (slow mo) head shots are sweeeet! The 2nd Call of Juarez just came out yesterday, probably going to buy it after I finish the 1st. |

Yeah it was tons of fun, altho there were minor things that were really irritating (such as targeting and combat). I love westerns and behind GUN this is probably the best. I heard the second game fixes all the problems of the first, so thats good

Best Western game is still Red Dead Revolver.

Has anyone brought COJ2? I'm a fan of westerns but the reviews have been mixed, also I hear it's a tad short. |

You know what...these are the same morons who gave Kane and Lynch low scores too. From what I'm reading it sounds excellent...
I remember K&L getting rated with 6's everywhere, and then I picked it up for $5 a couple months later because no one wanted it, and aside from the last couple of levels, it's was great.
Seriously, if the biggest complaints they can come up with are bland textures when you're 2-inches away from things, some repeating enemies, and in-game cinema facial details, then I'm sold. That's some of the most petty crap to complain about. The only time I really crap on details like that is when the devs brag about how perfect everything is gonna look (*cough* Heavy Rain).
And if you're fast, you can nab it for $48 shipped:

What is the name of the Red Dead sequel, Red Read Redepmtion? That should blow Call of Juarez out of the water honestly. |

Well I hope so. Basically everyone wants their game to be an open sandbox type now. That's what they are doing with the new Red Dead. Some games IMO are just better left as level-to-level games. That's why I'm in no hurry to get the new Red Faction. They really changed things from the first 2 games and I'm not sure it is for the better.

I'm imaging it being a GTA western since its being published by Rockstar it should work out ok. |

Well actually that is my concern. I don't want this to be a reskinned GTA. Instead of killing a hooker with an AK47 behind a car in an alley, you kill a hooker with a revolver behind a horse in some old town.

As long I'm killing hookers, everything is okay. |
