I liked it. Solid story, intense atmosphere and fun weapons. The ripper is so awesome.

Dead Space kicks ass, best horror-action-shooter in a loooooong while. I got the Ultra Limited Edition and don't regret it.

It's probably the most excellent horror/suspense game I've ever played. It had me more on-edge than any of the Silent Hill games to date. |

It's an ok scary movie. It's all BOO! I got ya! No real suspense other than being scared to turn a corner because you don't want the lost health. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game. Just don't play it for the scare factor. It's lacking in the psychological dpt.

I kind of agree with you there. There are some moments where you can see the enemy ahead of you which ruins the scare factor, while there are times when they jump at you from vents and you crap your pants.

If you played and enjoyed Resident Evil 4, you'll dig Dead Space. It's an excellent game. |

I just beat Dead Space today on the impossible difficulty level.
Played through the game 3X now... easily the best game for me from 2008. Graphics, action, suspense/scares... this game has it all.

it's great...I played and finish it all within a two week time period rather than starting it and coming back to it when there was nothing better to play which is most games these days.

It really is an incredible game, but like someone else said, when you see the enemies ahead of you, it kind of ruins the scare factor. |

I enjoyed Dead Space much more than I did RE5, and I liked RE5 a lot. |

i really enjoyed the bit of it that i played, it was definitely fun but i gave up on it because i got pissed i kept dying when trying to do a jump to plant something on a rock and i was busy playing other games. it was a lot like RE5 for scare factor (not scary but just trying to run around and shoot crap. |
