So I ended up getting a PSP 3000 that was brand new in a trade with a local friend. Basically Ive read over several methods of modding the unit, but I wanted to know, which ways were revertable, and which ways are the safest. I just want to play classics such as (snes, nes, genesis, gb etc etc) watch videos, play versions of games I have UMDs of basically. If anyone could enlighten me, I would rather not do any physical modifications to my unit or battery, but I also would prefer to be able to switch back to the firmware if I ever decided to.

If anyone could help me out, that would be awesome.

You might not want to mention emulators here. That could be construed as intention to pirate games.
