I just started getting into RTS games recently (Mainly Age of Empires 2, since that's about the best my computer will run) and I was thinking how sweet it would be to have a WoT RTS game. There would be so many possibilities. You could be Aiel, Asha'man, Aes Sedai, Ogier, Seanchan, the Shadow etc. I've been hearing rumors of a movie, and I read somewhere that Red Eagle bought out rights to Wheel of Time video games. I just think this would be a sweet idea. How about you guys?

I dunno about a RTS... I've always imagined that it could make a bad ass MMORPG, but if one was made, they would suck it up. I was wondering about the movies, too.. I think it's Warner who has had the rights of it for a few years now... You'd have to get someone who was interested in the books to direct it, though.. Else it would be a fagfest that was Eragon. Either way, I'd be down for a game of it as long as it didn't suck ass, which is probably what would happen. | tonymack21

I've only read about half of the first Sword of Truth book, it couldn't keep my interest. | Broccoli

I've read both series (haven't picked up the new WOT book just released last week though), and WoT is much better than Sword of Truth IMO. Zedd is so damn preachy, his discussions of magic/ethics/etc with Richard and others seems to go on for chapters. Wheel of Time series has to be the best fantasy book series out there besides LOTR.
I would love a RTS game.. but I think the factions would have to be:
- the Shadow
- Humans/light
- Aiel
- Seanchan
- Aes Sedai (good)
- Aes Sedai (black ajah)
- Sea Folk maybe?
Or you could just spread the Aes Sedai out among the factions..
Maybe a few rogue factions too, like Whitecloaks, Ogier, the mysterious people of Shara....
Sadly, unlike Lord of the Rings... there doesn't seem to be much interest in the Wheel of Time series besides books. There was 1 pc game made like 10 years ago, but beyond that, there isnt much WOT stuff out there. | SaintJimmy
