A more adult orientated Nintendo DS is on its way to Japan on November 21st. The handheld will see a screen size boost from 3.5 inches, to 4.2 inches.
Coming in three adult colors - wine red, dark brown and natural white - the Nintendo DSi LL will cost 20,000 yen in Japan, amusingly the same price as the Nintendo Wii.
The screen's resolution will stay at 256 by 192 pixels despite the larger size. Though this is obviously due to compatibility with DS software, having a screen the same size as the PSP at this low resolution may result in a blurrier image.
The new DSi will be bundled with two touch pens, one short and one long. Moreover, the handheld will now come pre-installed with three games; both Brain Training games and the DS Easy Dictionary. This clearly demonstrates the handheld's target adult audience.
Nintendo UK has revealed that this handheld will be called the Nintendo DSi XL in Europe and will release in early-2010.
"Nintendo today confirms that a new Nintendo DSi XL console is launching in Europe in the first quarter of 2010," a UK Nintendo representative told VG247.

So, whens the tentative US release date? Or will those of us wanting one have to import from Japan or Europe? I am actually interested in getting one as I still have an original release system that is on its last legs :P.
