Here is yet another collector's edition with a crap-ton of stuff for, what I'm guessing, a crap-ton of money
Here is what it'll include:
-Art book
-Director’s cut of God of War: Unearthing the Legend – a feature length documentary on the franchise
-Downloadable God of War soundtrack featuring music from all three games
-Downloadable God of War: Blood and Metal EP featuring songs inspired by the games
-Exclusive combat arena environment and seven challenges
-Exclusive Dominus character skin |

GS has it retailing at $100, Amazon as well. I'm not a collector's edition person, but seems like one that is pretty decent

The only CE ever worth it for me was for Doom 3 on the Xbox. Of course the main perk of that (the first 2 Doom games) wound up being thrown in on all versions of Resurrection Of Evil.
I'm currently looking for Sonic The Hedgehog comics. If you have any, send me a message.

Doom 1 and 2 on Xbox No one ever understood why I was so hyped for that It was a pretty good port too, especially for the little CE bonus it was.
That box looks insane. I'm not even a big GoW fan and I'll probably get this version cause I love excessive packaging.

I hope the metal CD has actual metal bands on it instead of garbage like Disturbed and Korn.

On a related note (to metal, not reed's sexual preference), I am very pleased with the opening of Brutal Legend, picking on all that new retarded crap.

I'm actually the opposite. A lot of times I will on purpose get the regular edition just so I don't have excesive amounts of packaging taking up space on my shelves. If I had more room for my crap, I probably wouldn't care as much.

Wait, downloadable soundtracks? They have that giant-ass box and they can't fit a couple CDs in? Lame.

I used to love collectors editions.. but it seems like 1/3 of the games out there these days gets a collectors edition. And a lot of them have really lame looking and very useless looking things. Like the recent Arkham Asylum CE, which has a huge ass ugly batarang in it. Resident Evil 5 comes with a Tricell messenger bag, arm patch, and some other crap. i'd like the steel case for the game, but that's it.
Halo 3 Legendary edition has to be the worst culprit of them all with that gawdy, ugly, huge-ass Spartan helmet. My best bud preordered it long ago... I really don't have any use for that crap, and it looks like the huge cheap piece of junk that it is when it's sitting out anywhere in his apartment. It's just useless trinkets that aren't worth collecting. Is anyone going to be clamoring for this crap years down the road? Nope, cuz there will be even more useless videogame trinkets released by then.
I have to admit I want a big daddy figurine though. Paint me hypocritical. |

Cheap, mass-produced trinkets masquerading as unique "collector" pieces. Even if I didn't hate the series, I would not partake |

CE editions should each have unique game assets (like hand drawn concept art), retail for $100s and be limited to dozens of copies
