Broadband Modems these days don't come with that many ethernet ports, do they? Been so long. Anyway...Wii is wireless only unless you buy the lan adapter. I'd recommend getting a wireless router unless all of these things are in the same room

I thought all the PS3s except the 20Gb were wireless...
If you're going to do home networking and you know nothing about routers, then you're going to probably going to need more info than just what to buy. |

since both consoles have built in wireless, just go buy a wireless router.

I have my PS3 and Wii hooked up through a cheap wireless router that I bought at Wal-Mart. I haven't really had any issues with it so far.

How would wireless cost you more per month? Buy a router at BestBuy, Amazon, etc. Install, play.

i talked to a person at comcast and the broadband i have now cost like 43$/month, and they want to charge 59.99$/month for wireless |

you do not need that, they are just trying to charge you to rent a router from them.
you can go buy your own for 20-50 bucks and no monthly cost.

Above ^. You don't tell them you're doing wireless. Figures it's Comcast anyway. Most companies should be offering wireless as a perk, not an extra fee. It's pretty much standard now. Don't tell them anything

really? i told you that i was not a tech-head, i guess the person i talked to wasnt either and i guess he thought i wanted an upgrade or something...why would anyone want to connect via a wire then if its the same price? |

Depending on distance from the wireless router, wired can be considerably faster. That, and not everyone has wireless enabled devices. Such as the 360, not wireless out of the box.
