Hi does anybody out there have this game sealed? It is made by LJN It is on ebay for $99 plus s/h but they do not have a horizontal seal. I checked other games by LJN and I found pictionary has a seal. I would assume the company would seal all games the same way especially since pictionary was made in 1990 and thrilla's surfari was made in 1992. Unless they changed in those 2 years for some reason. If this game does not have a seal in my opinion no sealed game is worth any more than just a complete boxed is worth if it never had a seal. |

Im sorry my man but those pics are Very good no additional pics will allow me to see something that isn't there. A. it never was made w/ a factory seal or B. those are resealed games. But hey i'll send a message for additional pics I guess, but honestly in my opinion If he sends me a pic showing a seal I would have to assume it's not same games he has pics of in auction. |

update I was told this:
Dear icemanxp300,
hi! ,
i see you r new to collecting nes factory sealed games! & the nes differnt factory sealed variants,...thrilla's surfari only come factory sealed with the vertical overlap seam,...some nintendo games are sealed with the horizontal seam & some are factory sealed with the vertical overlap seam, both are official nintendo factory sealed seams, various nes titles are sealed only only with the horizontal seam, wile other titles only come sealed with the vertical overlap seam,...like most unlicensed games & most of the gold box tengen games, as well as thrillia's surfari, bart-vs-the world, rad racket, smash t.v, swords & serpents, ect! ,also a majority of the nes unlicensed games dont have seams going across-"aka horizontal" -or- going down the back of the box, which are called the vertical overlap seam, p.s look at bottom photos in the auction.
Well i am not exactly new to sealed games but hey whatever floats his boat. Any truth to this vertical overlap seam and how easily can it be duplicated??? I see what he is talking about but honestly for me if thats all they go by I will pay for just boxed complete that overlap looks like it can be remade to me. What I am looking at and assume he is talking about is the area near the barcode on game. I'm sticking w/my guns haha no seam I'll take boxed complete. |

That seal in the pics actually looks to be legit. Be warned, though...he has been blacklisted by NintendoAge (you may need to be logged in there to see this):
