Any interest in this? The 32x is in good shape, with some scuffs/light wear. The box has a little wear too - some bends and it's a tad dusty - but it's in good shape.

Does it come with everything, including those metal clips that attach to the Genesis cart slot? |

Call me dumb, but I'm not even sure what you're talking about . All that's here is the thing itself - is there supposed to be a power adapter, cables, anything like that? I can just get you a picture of what I have if you want (I planned on putting one up anyways). |

Not exactly. The 32X came with these two metal pieces that went into the cart slot directly. They weren't required, I suppose, but they would actually prop the slot open. In retrospect, I don't really know what purpose they served since there was no need to prop the slot open. |

They're electromagnetic RF shielding plates. Not entirely necessary, but it was common to get distortion and feedback from the TV speakers if a lot of other electronic devices were around.

Yeah, no cables or adapters, sorry. I wasn't even aware it came with any . Just the unit and box. I intended to get pictures, but I'm really behind in school, so I will try my best to get you some. |

You mean the thing that looks like it's made of recycled cardboard, kinda like a tray used to hold drinks at McDonald's or something? Then yes |

Yeah. That thing. Hahaha.
Could I get pictures of the box condition? I'm real interested |

I really have no idea what the damn thing is worth. Not looking for Ebay prices of course, haha, but I'd accept anything fair. You're welcome to offer, else I'll research a little bit and see what I can find for a good price. Or if you have any of my wanteds, we could trade. |

I've got Lament of Innocence off of your wanteds. Complete and very good condition.
Would you do that and say....$10-$15? |

Do you have any others from my wanteds, or SNES, GBA/GBC/GB or PS1 games unlisted? |

I have some unlisted PS1 and SNES stuff. Nothing else from your wanteds though |

Is there any way you'd be willing to straight-up buy? I just got a tuition bill so selling might be better for me haha. |

Just the unit itself, no cables. |

I'm an actual 32X owner (sometimes I hate to admit it). The 32X included it's own AC adapter, and cable, so it could connect to either a Genesis 1 or 2. I don't think it can be hooked up to a Genesis 3, but I'm sure there are ways. The metal thingies the guys are mentioning are these: http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/6785/cimg0894v....
What they basically did or were "supposed" to do was to not only keep the Genesis cart slot open, but it also prevent radio signals from interfering with the gameplay (chances of this happening are literally slim to none), therefore they are nearly useless. The spacer for the Genesis 2 on the other hand, would kind of handy since the 32X is wobbly without it. However, if you don't kick your Genesis around when you play a game, this shouldn't be a problem either.
On a side note, the 32X cable is actually as hard to find as the left & right back covers of a Sega Game Gear. The AC adapter on the other hand, shouldn't be too hard to find. |

| | #34 posted October 30, 2009 at 9:19pm (EST) |
I have the spacer, just no cables - kinda sucky, but I got it a while ago and I never had a Sega Genesis until recently, but even now I figured it could use a home. |
