Description

Default is an excellent rock band that hails from Seattle, Washington.

There are only four members of the band, but these four guys make some great music. It is obvious from their records that they have played together for many years. They sound extremely tight and their songs are put together very well.

"The Fallout" is their debut album, and it was released in 2001. There have been newer releases since Fallout, and I highly recommend that you check those records out as well.

This CD contains 11 songs in total, and I believe the first single off of it was track three, called "Wasting My Time". The CD is enhanced, so you can put it into your computer, and some multimedia features will be available to you. One of those features is the video for "Wasting My Time". I believe the only thing you need on your computer for the video to play is a media player of some kind.

Default consists of Dallas Smith (Vocals), Jeremy James Hora (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Dave Benedict (Bass), and Danny Craig (Drums).

As I mentioned before, I would say that for the most part, this band plays rock music. When I listen to their music, I can hear some grunge influences, and some licks similar to what you might hear from a Nickelback or Puddle of Mudd album. The grunge influence is not at all surprising since these boys did grow up in the Seattle area, which has become a staple of this type of music.

Some of my favorite tracks off of this album include "Live A Lie", which has some nice piano work on it by Rick Parasher, who also happens to have produced and mixed this record. It was recorded at London Bridge, a recording studio in Seattle, Washington. The song "Wasting My Time", that I mentioned earlier, is also another of my favorites. It has an up-beat tempo, and is bound to get your blood flowing...smile

This is a superb record, and if you like your music hard and fast, this is one you should pick.

Your Rock-N-Roll Junkie,
Bobby
