Description

Intro
The Nintendo e-Reader is a truly unique device that allowed you to play games, or unlock items, that were kept on a card on your GameBoy Advance. The way this works is you simply go to the "Scan dot code" menu on the e-Reader, scan your card, or cards, and you can play the game!

Cards Available
There were quite a variety of Cards to choose from. There were NES games, New levels and power-ups for Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Items and designs for Animal Crossing, New trainers to battle in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Mini-games, including an exclusive version of Mario Party, and more!

NES Games Available
* Balloon Fight
* Baseball
* Clu Clu Land
* Donkey Kong
* Donkey Kong Jr.
* Donkey Kong 3
* Excitebike
* Golf
* Ice Climber
* Pinball
* Mario Bros.
* Tennis
* Urban Champion

Usability
Although the e-Reader was a cool ideal it became a pain in the butt to use. It was extremely big. When it was developed it was only planned to be used on the GameBoy Advance, but it does work on the GameBoy Advance SP. The Nintendo DS however it is not compatible without modification to the actual e-Reader's case, or removal of the linker port.

Overall
If your interested in "legally" playing classic NES games on your GameBoy Advance or Nintendo DS, or you just want a little piece of Nintendo's failed history pick yourself up one of Nintendo's shortlived e-Reader devices today!
