Comment (last update: 3-Jul-2009 12:34am) Hello, and thanks for checking out my Bio! Now, where to begin?..hmm.. Well, I'm a real person as you can see, and I generally don't hide behind avatars or stupid catch phrases. I've been gaming since 1989, starting with the Nintendo Entertainment System and our Commodore (that's a type of computer for you young people), oh, and lets not forget my beat-up Atari Lynx. The first game I ever complete by myself (without adult help), was Super Mario Bros. (NES), which I had the joy of finishing at the ripe young age of 3 1/2 (call it bad parenting, but I was practically raised by my game systems). In Christmas of 92", I received my first Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) [arguably my favorite system to date] and a copy of Super Mario World -- though I had actually asked for a Sega Genesis and a copy of Mortal Kombat II. Apparently my parents though MK 2 wasn't appropriate for a going-on 6 year old, and sited that a Sega was also too expensive. Regardless I fought with my little brother over that SNES until I was lucky enough to find a Sega Genesis at a yard sale a few years later...sadly though, I realized not too later that the Genesis was going out, and that my old SNES was actually the HOT thing in gaming. As the years passed I would hang out at the Arcades, that was until I came to buy a Saturn and a whole bunch of different GAMBOYS, and even at one point own an awesome new gaming PC that could actually run DOOM 2, TES Arena, and Marathon!!! Then one cold October evening in 1997 (two days before Halloween), my mom took me out to get pizza and a Birthday present...an actual PlayStation Dual-Shock!!! ...and a copy of...sigh*...Crash Bandicoot. Anyway, disappointing first game aside, that PlayStation would spawn my love affair of gaming. I would steadily over the years, progress into a weekly renter of just about every title to come out, and bring about the hardening of my gaming skills (I finished the just released Metal Gear Solid in a 1 day rental, long before in my adolescent brain could actually figure out what was actually going on in it). The PlayStation would teise at my soul and make a gaming addict of me yet; inspiring me with graphics, delighting me with the horrors of Resident Evil (Silent and Clock Tower) and introducing me [for the first time] to the world of RPG's with Final Fantasy VII/VIII, Xenogears, Legend of Legaia and Tomba!. That was until I saw my brothers' N64 in 1998, and got my hands on the just released Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (The GREATEAST GAME IN HISTORY!!!) -- I immediately purchased an N64 and a copy of that game, and to this day my perception of modern gaming is defined by that title alone. Then came the Dreamcast, the PS2, the GBA, the Gamecube, the Xbox and on and on. Then one day, new games seemed to lose their appeal to me. Maybe it was the lack of originality, but I stopped play nearly as much and started to focus on collecting them instead. Then through that, I discovered the joys of buying and collecting, old game systems and playing titles I had only heard of before. Fast forward 5 years and here I am, still collecting and playing the classics, while dusting off my PS3, 360 Elite, Wii, DS and PSP every few months to play the next big RPG or title in one of my favorite series. And as we are preparing for the next decade in this new millennium, and I've finally discovered the joys of PC gaming, and just how many thousands of titles that have been released for it over the last 20 years. And so begins again, the circle of gaming. Now as for my trade habbits, I like to collect pretty much anything for: SEGA Saturn PlayStation (PSone) Nintendo 64 (N64) SEGA Dreamcast Playstation 2 (PS2) Microsoft Xbox Nintendo Gamecube Gameboy Advanced (GBA) PC PlayStation Portable (PSP) Nintendo DS XBOX 360 PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) Nintendo Wii I love just about every genre but I really fancy RPG's. So if you have one I havent listed in my [Wanted Games] section feel free to offer it, the worst I can do is decline the offer. I also do my best to respond to offers as soon as possible. But there are times when I'm not online for a few days, so don't be alarmed if I respond to a offer you made days later. I also do my very best to ship things out to you quickly, but as with all things, I sometimes can't send something out till the end of the week, a couple of days later or till I wrap up some prior trades. In either case I always tell you about it ahead of time. So there's my Bio -- maybe I'll actually rewrite it well.....one of these days. Till then, enjoy my useless bantering> | ||
