Mr. Sherill was the first person i ever traded with on this site, so i was very reluctant to file a BTR. However, after repeated attempts to get him to send my game back and his continued failure to respond to messages i decided the only option was to report him as a Bad Trader. Here is the timeline of events:
On June 16th we agreed to a trade with me sending NBA 2K9 first and him sending Condemned 2.
He received NBA 2K9 on the 19th, but never confirmed the receipt on the site because he said that the game was defective. I apologized for the problem (EVEN THOUH THE GAME ALWAYS WORKED FINE FOR ME) and asked him to send back.
JUNE 23rd-ME: Just wanted to see if you have mailed back NBA2K9.
HIM:-No response
JUNE 25th-ME: have you sent back NBA29? Please respond.
HIM: no not yet. I've been busy lately. Sorry for the delay.
JUNE 26th-ME: will you be able to send it soon?
HIM: No response.
JULY 2nd-ME: Ok dude, it has been 2 weeks since you received the game. If it doesn't work fine, but YOU NEED TO SEND IT BACK TO ME. You haven't responded to my latest message even though you have been on the site since then and that makes me very uncomfortable. I sent the game to you in good faith. If it was no good, then i am sorry, but you are still obligated to respond by common courtesy if nothing else. Please send the game back immediately and send me a message when you have done so.
JULY 2nd-HIM: I'm sorry just a lot is going on right now. I'll try and send it back asap.
JULY 3RD-ME: Thank you for responding. I understand that these things happen. Please send it back as soon as you can.
HIM-No response.
JULY 9th-ME: It has now been 3 weeks since you received the game. I am really hoping that i receive a message from you in the next few days stating that you have sent the game back.
HIM-No Response.
NOTE:
Now i don't really believe that there was anything wrong with the game, but on the off chance that he was actually telling the truth and not just trying to rip me off i decided to offer to refund his shipping costs after i received the game back.
JULY 10th-ME: If you send back immediately i will refund your shipping costs (first class) after i receive the game.
HIM:-No response.
JULY 14th-i decide to fill a BTR on him.
dxrules1220 has been on this site almost every day since i sent him the game and he has responded to less than a 3rd of my messages. I sent him the game in good faith. I don't think it was defective, but even if it was he has violated the spirit of the agreement by not returning it, even when doing so would be at no cost to him. In conclusion, he is a bad trader, who has effectively stolen a game from me and shown through his actions that he does not even have the slightest intention of either fulfilling his side of the bargain by sending Condemned 2 to me or sending back NBA2K9. I understand that people can get busy and miss things but really! I have a wife, 2 kids and a full time job and i still managed to make it to the post office. If there is really some compelling reason that he could not send the game then he should have responded to my messages! DO NOT make a trade with this guy, he will straight up try and rip you off.
Update:
Despite repeated assurances by dxrules1220 that he would send back my game he failed to follow through. At this point i know i will never see my game again. I just wanted to reemphasize that no one should ever trade with this thief.
