I agreed to send him MechAssault and Guilty Gear X2 in exchange for Halo and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. I even threw in Turok: Evolution (PS2) to even the trade out a little more. I sent my side of the trade on Mar. 15 -- he apparently sent on the same day. Unfortunately, I've received nothing and it looks like many other traders on this site have been ripped off by this guy recently, too. I'd advise all who've been ripped off by this user to file mail fraud against him and, as previously mentioned by other traders, to contact the Edmonton Police Department.

We had agreed to exchange my copies of Star Ocean: The Second Story for PSX (a rare game) and Harvest Moon: Save The Homeland for PS2 in exchange for his EarthBound for SNES. I sent ExpressPost, which isn't cheap. After over two weeks, I received my package, which had been marked "Return To Sender" but opened by Barrett. He had taken Star Ocean, and the DVD casing and insert for Harvest Moon. I received the disc in a CD-R case. I guess he would have felt bad to steal both of my games, so he only took one. There has been no response to the e-mails I've sent, he supposedly sent EarthBound BEFORE I did by ExpressPost. DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS USER!!! Rest assured Barrett, if I don't receive EarthBound soon, I will be calling the Edmonton Police Department, and your parents.

We agreed on a trade and unfortunately I sent my side off just before receiving several emails about him later that day about possibly being a BTR. I have sent my side but have not received anything yet. Considering all the other BTR's I doubt that I will. I have filed a Mail Fraud claim and called the Edmonton Police. I hope everyone involved in this mess does the same.
Update: 4/29/04
By some fantastic twist of fate my package was returned to sender by the postal service. So I haven't lost my side of the trade but the fact of the matter remains the same. Still no contact from "Barrett Theroux".

I sent both of my games on 3-18-04. I have yet to get a response from him. I see many other BTR's reported on him, so hopefuly we can all try and do something to make this right. I will repost the information that TVC15 Posted (thanks again for the info):
For everyone else that was scammed by method man, call Edmonton Police Detective Ron Scolds and leave a message on his machine explaining the situation. His phone number is: 1-(780) 421-3584.

I will remove this BTR as soon as either my games are returned to me or once I receive the items promised.

We were supposed to send our items at the same time, and I did my part of the deal. He is supposed to send me Suikoden II, Final Fantasy Origins, and .//hack Quarantine. He has't responded to my e-mails in over a week, and the website says he hasn't even sent yet. He needs to send me my half of the deal, or this will not come down, and I will seek further action!

I am putting up this BTR because method_man71 was to ship me Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 ps2.. I shiped my side of the trade which was Mortal Kombat 3 Snes and Sim Ant Snes and he got it because I have a tracking number and the post office said he got the package.The tracking number is {47023394235} check it out at (www.canadapost.ca). I will take down this BTR when he sends back my stuff or he sends his side of the trade. I have my ways in finding out his real name and info. method_man71 I will take legal action towards you so beware of this.
UPDATE: I got my games back from him but I am still pissed of because i had to pay for shipping.

This will come down and I will drop the charges against you when I get my unopened Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes back.
UPDATE: I have recieved word from another GTZ user that his phone number is: 1-780-457-3984 You might want to try calling his parents/him
UPDATE 2: I have reported him to both the police and USPS for fraud. I highly encourage anyone who has not yet called the Edmonton detective and or filed mail fraud to do it. The more complaints they recieve the faster we get our stuff back. You won't win method man, you are going down.
UPDATE 3: ??? All these months have passed and today I receieved Ominusha 2 in the mail, it must belong to someone else, because I never sent this to him. If you have decided to start sending the stuff back then send me the correct game I sent you. If this game belongs to someone else let me know and I can get it back to you.

method_man71 and I pended a trade on the 13th of March, my Chocobo's Racing & Tekken 3 for his Final Fantasy XIII & Monster Rancher 2. I was to send first, and he was to send when he recieved, due to feedback. method_man71 decided to ship at the same time and claimed to have sent on the 15th of March. I sent my side of the deal on March 16th by Express Post, with a delivery confirmation number of 75704629745. According to Canada Post (www.canadapost.ca) my side was delivered to method_man71 on the morning of March 18th. I have recieved nothing, and twice I asked method_man71 to change his status to say that he has recieved on the site through the message system, and once through email. He has not replied to either, but has been online since at least one of the messages were sent.
