I understand that I can be rather long-winded, so if you read nothing else on my profile, please read the following:

1. I am not interested in Greatest Hits, Platinum Hits, Player's Choice, or any related re-released titles unless the re-releases come with new features.
2. I am not interested in games that do not come with - at the very least - the original box and manual in acceptable condition.
3. I will never be rude or complain if an offer is rejected, or if things don't work out. Please tell me why you are unhappy with a particular trade so that I can learn from the experience.

With that in mind, welcome to my profile.

What consoles do I own?

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite
Nintendo Entertainment System
Super Nintendo
Nintendo 64
Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo Wii
Nintendo DS
Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP
Sega Dreamcast
Sony psOne
Sony PlayStation 2
Sony PlayStation 3
Sony PlayStation Portable

When given the option, I prefer titles on the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360. All other consoles are primarily for exclusives only. Generally, however, I prefer to have compilation titles on portable consoles since they're of the quick play variety.

Interestingly enough, my favorite platform of all time is probably the Super Nintendo. I don't own one. I'd rather have the redesigned "mini" version which complicates things considerably. If you're trying to get rid of one, please send me an offer. I'll send cookies.

What are my favorite franchises?

Burnout
Final Fantasy
The Legend of Zelda
Ridge Racer
Soul Calibur
Tekken
Twisted Metal
WipeOut

I don't know where my fascination with arcade racing came from, but it sure beats driving on an actual road. Especially when missiles are involved.

In all honesty, give me every Tekken game and every Final Fantasy game, stick me on a desert island, and I'd remain entertained for quite a while. They're my primary justification for purchasing a PlayStation 3.

What kind of a gamer am I?

During my Freshman year of college, my roommate described me as "the worst Mario player I've ever seen." More recently, my current roommate described me as "the worst Sonic player I've ever seen." Despite that, I love 2D platformers.

I'm addicted to downloadable content. I've spent more money on Nintendo and Microsoft points than I have on games for the respective systems. When trading with me, points are as good as cash.

I'm a huge fan of compilation titles. I can deal with load times and imperfections if it means having a bunch of great, classic, nostalgic titles all in one place.

For the life of me, I can't control a first-person shooter with a gamepad. I need a keyboard and mouse. I gave up on trying to control Halo 3, which is why the game sits in my Available list. Hopefully, it will see a future PC release.

I play Final Fantasy XI and, to a lesser extent, City of Heroes. That makes me one of the thirteen people on the planet who does not have a World of Warcraft account.

What games am I looking for?

Compilations. As I mentioned above, these things are great, especially if they're for portable systems. Most of the ones I want are in my Wanted list, though if you're aware of another that's particularly good, let me know.

Games by Squaresoft/Square-Enix. I have so many of them, I may as well complete the set. Most of their NES and PlayStation titles are already in my collection, and I'm starting to build up a collection of their PlayStation 2 and DS titles. Send me an offer if you have one that I need.

Rare demo discs. I don't know how I managed to take an interest in these things, but there are a few in my list that I haven't been able to track down. If you can be of assistance, I'd appreciate it.

First-party Nintendo titles. For the longest time, my Wii and Gamecube sat virtually unused. I want to build them up with the quality first-party titles that make Nintendo so famous and valued in the first place.

Strategy guides. Generally speaking, if I have a game in my Collection and I do not own the strategy guide for it, I am interested in purchasing and trading for it. I will be fussy about the guide's condition, however.

Of course, you could simply check my Wanted list.

How do I rate/value my games?

Games in my Collection are generally not available for trade except in extreme circumstances. Generally, unless it's a title I got for free in a bundle and did not really want, your side of the trade would probably be so lopsided, it wouldn't be worth it to you to bother. The values I have listed are the relative prices I paid for the game and are really for my own personal reference.

Prices in either my Wanted or Available lists are the prices I'm willing to pay or accept during a sale, respectively. This price is a composite of what I found on GameTZ offers, Amazon, and eBay. In both cases, I'm generally willing to go quite a bit lower with a sale, though I prefer to do trades.

The condition of the games on all my lists use a parallel scheme to what is used with vinyl records. The key conditions in a bit more detail are listed below:

Unopened - Self-explanatory. The game is factory-sealed and has never opened or otherwise used by human hands.

Excellent - Opened, but otherwise unused. The best parallel to this would be those games at Gamestop that are sold as new but kept separately. I don't think there are many people around here that would open a game and never play it.

Very Good - Opened, used, but otherwise displaying virtually no signs of wear. All my games are requested in this condition, and the majority of my games are offered in this condition.

All other grades show increasingly severe signs of wear as you progress down the scale, but I won't bother explaining them here because I'm not interested in them. If any of my games have wear and tear worth noting, I'll list it in the item description.

Notes on payment

I am willing to send payment through Paypal, or as a money order or personal check. I will send concealed cash only if it is in conjunction with a traded item within which the cash can be easily hidden, such as inside of the artwork of a DVD.

I am no longer willing to cover a user's Paypal fees, nor will I ever request that another user do so. Not only do these requests violate Section 4.6 of the Paypal user agreement, but the majority of my payments are either bank transfers or from an existing Paypal balance. These payments can be accepted without fees by users with a Paypal personal account; fees are only added by those with a Paypal premier account. Essentially, by charging a fee for such payments, you are asking me and the other members of GameTZ to pay for your account for you.

There is a $1.05 charge for purchasing a money order from the USPS. Please factor this in when requesting a money order or making an offer. I will always do the same for you.
