If I manage to make it through a game either it was really really short or a really fantastic game or both. This list was from memory so I may have forgotten some. ON TRADING Thank you for reading this, I appreciate you taking the time. I am not trying to be a dick with making out this list, I'm just trying to explain my expectations of trading after being on the site for 9+ years. This was last updated on 11/14/2007. IF YOU HAVE < 25 TRADES If you have < 25 trades I will not be sending first, even if it's just money. ON SENDING FIRST - If I have significantly more trades than you, it is this site's policy and tradition that I have the right to request you send first. Having said that, as long as I trust you, I usually will send at same time. If you have significantly more trades than me, I will usually offer to send first. I also look at ratings however, especially recent ratings. I also look not only at number of trades but at the types of trades you do. I also will look at how long you've been a member of GTZ. All of this factors into my "trust level". This is common sense. I AM A COLLECTOR - I collect games. I take care of my games. I expect games I am buying or trading for from you to be in good shape. If they look like a train wreck, it's less valuable to me, a lot less. I won't say "gee, I don't want that" necessarily, but I'm going to offer less for it. I might be interested in that game to PLAY, but will trade it on afterward. In which case, I don't want to give much for it., because it's hard to get rid of that stuff here. ON HONESTY - It is dishonest to mark something as EXCELLENT if it has scratches on it. It is dishonest to mark something as VERY GOOD if it looks like a train wreck. If I ask you something about the quality of the item I am attempting to trade for, I want an honest and complete answer. If you lie to me or try to mislead me on this, I will respond negatively on honesty rating. If you know your item is not in the greatest condition, the best thing to do is just tell me about it. I may still want the item, but I at least want to know what I'm getting before I agree to the trade. If you try to pass off a illegal item to me, I will report you to the site admins and give you a BTR. ON SPEED - You will always get an excellent from me on speed unless you aren't telling me what is going on or I think you're stalling me out. I can understand that things happen in life and you can't always make it to the PO or whatever. In return, I will ask to be treated the same, I may have things come up but I will do my best to get the items out ASAP, and I will do my best to notify you of what is going on to cause any unexpected delays. Important: If you have agreed to send first I need some time between when I get the item and when I send it out to verify it's condition, and to mail whatever it is I'm sending out back. I have a full-time job that prevents me from making it to the Post Office during week-days a lot of the time. Don't slam my speed rating because it took me 3 or 4 days after your item arrived to get it out. I will do my best to get it out as fast as I can. ON COURTESY - This is really the easiest thing to get an excellent on. As long as you treat me with respect and keep me informed of any issues, you will get an excellent on this and I will treat you the same way. If we have arguments, that's understandable, we can work that out, but do not resort to childish behavior or ignore requests indefinitely, that's all it takes to get an excellent on this. Oh.. one other way to get dinged on this is if you do not pack the item well and it gets damaged in shipment. That is completely irresponsible. Take care to send the item right or don't send it. Treat "my" stuff with care as I will treat "your" stuff. GameTZ is NOT eBay! If you love GameTZ, please subscribe to keep it running. It isn't that much considering how much you save from having to deal with eBay or GameStop, and Bill needs the love. Seriously, have you looked at that guy? (ahem. ignore my picture) Lets make a deal.
