We agreed to do a trade back in may 28th with my Rallisport 2 for his FarCry,MX Unleashed & Metal Arms. We were both supposed to send Priority Mail with DC, I was to send first and he was supposed to send the day my game arrived. My game was then received by him via priority mail on June 1st. delivery confirmation # 0103 8555 7492 5601 3897

On June 1st at 9:16 PM he stated he'd wouldn't be able to send his end of the deal out until Friday. Then 6 hours 3min. later (June 2nd 3:19 am) he claims he cannot find one of the games he was supposed to send "metal arms for xbox." He then offered me another game of my choice and I selected F-zero GX, okay so everything seemed squared. But then at 4:22pm on June 2nd he starts trying to get me to accept one game less than we agreed on, and that raised my brow towards suspicion. So I confronted him about why he is making offers toward a deal already agreed upon, and after a brief argument he assured me he'd stick to the original plan and use f-zero gx or find a new metal arms. He then asked for a few days more to find a new metal arms so we could stick to our original deal so I agreed to that. but instead of taking 2 days it took him 6. Finally on June 8th he claimed he would be sending everything out on June 9th. Well, it is now June 19th and no dice. and he stopped replying to emails and nothing has arrived in the mail.

On June 17th I decided to check with the other people he has pending trades with and I found they are experiencing the same thing that I am. So far it sounds like he traded successfully with 10 people some of which are well known on GameTZ in-order to make himself look good and trustworthy. Since then it appears he has been ripping people off by basically getting free rentals (keeping peoples' games for a few weeks then just sending them back) and/or just keeping games and not sending what he owes.

There is No excuse for this kind of cheating and behavior, this BTR will remain until I get what is owed. So either send what we agreed upon or mail me back my game +$15 to cover my time, trouble, shipping cost and aggeravation.

A trade was negotiated and finalized wherein I would provide Final Fantasy X (PlayStation 2) and 'gamenthusiast' would provide Grand Theft Auto Double Pack (PlayStation 2), with both of us shipping immediately, first class with delivery confirmation. I sent Final Fantasy X the next business day as agreed and proceeded to wait for three weeks without hearing anything from 'gamenthusiast'. I confirmed that my shipment reached him via the postal confirmation process, and still did not hear anything, not even a confirmation that the shipment was received. 3 weeks later, I finally received a package, but instead of the promised GTA double pack, I found another Final Fantasy X game, which I originally assumed to be the game I mailed. I now doubt that is the case, since this game has markings the game I mailed did not and it is scratched in two places. When I mailed the game it was in excellent condition. The only note enclosed in the package was a handwritten scrap of paper with the scribbled "The GTA D. Pack was malfunctioning, sorry for the inconvenece (spelling intact) no hard feelings." At least that's what I think it says anyway.

I have repeatedly tried to contact this trader via email and through the GameTZ message system with no return contact or communication of any kind. I have made him several offers, none of which have been acknowledged to resolve this issue. I have also noticed that this is not the first time 'gamenthusiast' has pulled this little ploy since he has another cancelled trade and I have been contacted by another trader who is experiencing a similar situation right now (this trader has emailed me with the address: EDavis6752@aol.com). It appears 'gamenthusiast' thinks he can play the games for free for a few weeks (or copy them) and then either return them, or send another faulty copy in its place. In either event, this is definitely bad trading practice and opens up the GameTZ community to harm and/or injury and loss. It is unfortunate, because I have hoped that we could resolve this issue on more friendly terms. I would very much like to receive either the promised game or have an intact copy of Final Fantasy X mailed to me, in return for which I will be happy to mail him the copy he mailed to me with his 'note'.

If you have any questions regarding this trade, please refer to my trade record number 155195 if that is possible. If not, I will be happy to provide a copy of all correspondence we have made thus far for your review.

Thanks for the assistance and for an excellent site.

Sincerely,

Michael Lange

(P.S. I initially thought the game mailed to me was my original game, since I barely gave it a cursory glance, believing it to be a simply oversight on his part when he made the offer. It wasn't until a few days later when I was re-entering the game in my available list that I became aware of a noticeable scratch and markings that were not on the disk we mailed.)
