Excellent game. Easily a 25+ hour story if you do the whole thing. If you do all the side quests, a lot more.

Seems like a good price, but I'm sure it will drop more soon. I need to wait longer on some of these games yes

this game is worth the full price, so this is a siiiick price. this or Persona 5 is my GOTY and its not close, those two were just in a world of their own this year for me

if this is your first nier series game, or even if its not.. check out Valkyrie Aurora on youtube, she does an amazing Drakengard/Nier lore video that in 24 minutes will really have you more versed on the lore and story of this world and it will have a little more meaning, though not as much as if you have played the games (not drakengard 2 though, its not canon, and this series jumps. the chronological timeline is Drakengard 3, Drakengard, Nier, Nier Automata. Drak2 is off one of the non canon endings of drak 1 and was not directed by yoko taro) but its a great vid and her voice omg. she has read the novellas as well which actually fill in more story and lore than the games do so its a great watch and listen.

What series are these games from? I thought Nier on the PS3 was the only other one...

Drakengard (Drag-On Dragoon in japan I believe is the name)

Yoko Taro is a weird mad Japanese genius. the way these games are designed is just unreal, you play through multiple "times" but its actually one playthrough. in nier its time skips and alternate paths, in automata its... well... I don't want to spoil too much, but suffice to say you see "ending credits" a few times playing through these games, but the first couple of times its just the beginning....

in automata there are 21 "joke" endings that you may happen upon totally by chance, but you don't have to start over after seeing them lol. in automata you get the full game and the end by playing path A the first "playthrough", then you continue, and that's path B, and then.. the game REALLY takes off and becomes an all top ten for me, at path C.., and then that leads to ending D and E, with C to E being the canon according to the devs apparently.

even if you don't play the others first, at least watch that vid from Valkyrie. Nier Automata def has some unanswered questions in regard to certain ties to the older games all the way back to drak 3, which is over 10,000 years before automata! so hopefully we are going to get more novellas or something to fill in some of that as taro has done that in the past games
