Depending on how you fund local schools and services and statewide stuff, removing the Sched A deduction on State Income and local RE and property taxes might cause you to pay more even with increased federal set asides in tax reform.

How are these services financed where you live? I have always felt that the more local the spending the more efficient, so prefer to have local and state deductions left as is.

Hard to be specific when we don't know what the fed standard deduction, child credit and other things aren't specific yet, but I would rather not disincentivize local/state over federal tax, you?
