Surge came out today. so far not bad. very nioh and bloodborn feel as in fast combat. switching limbs takes some getting used to.
Phantom Dust remaster is supposed to be out today for free.
injustice came out today as well. grabbed that on my ps4 though,
> Check your local Wal-Mart, I picked up three Samsung 40" 4k HDR tvs for 169 each
@RobotVendingMachine must have picked up all the local ones, Carencro showed two but couldnt find them.
You could take care of single player games pretty quick, but multiplayer games is where they could get you to subscribe for longer than you may typically.
Yup, and they only need to have you subscribe for like 2 months to break even on the game too as MS's portion of the game only costs about $30 since they don't need to pay for physical media, ship anything, or give Gamestop or whoever their share.
Sony is probably going to be stuck with what they have for PSNow's streaming for a while since they spend hundreds of millions on it, but they can add newer games to it rather than a 3-10 year old catalog. Nintendo I could see having a more difficult time implementing this type of thing since they're not too good as far as online implementation goes, all though they could absolutely kill it with the catalog they have available.
Who knows, but MS does try a lot of weird stuff though, like during the last few years of the 360 they were offing the option to buy the 360 on a plan much like you would a cell phone. A surprisingly high number of people did it though, but not sure why they seemed to have abandoned that method.
I remember the 360 having a deal where it was $99 but you had to buy a certain amount of Xbox live 2-3 years if I remember correctly.
That games pass is such a steal! My only problem is how they've opened it up for PC as well. They are doing so many right things, but it never seems to push the console over the edge for me.
I just did the 14 day free trial thing for gamepass so I could complete a few easier games for the achievement score. There are some good games on there right now, definitely a couple that I've had my eye on but couldn't justify the price tag for what looked to be some pretty short games.
I'm waiting for Wwe 2k17 to be added apparently it's being added soon.
So something weird happened to my XB1X tonight. I was playing AC Origins and I heard a buzzing and the game froze and I closed the app but when I went to restart the game disc it would not play. Just a black screen appeared. No disc read error or anything. I then tried another game disc and the same thing happened. However, when I went to try a bluray disc it read the disc just fine. The only way I could get the system to read game discs again was to hold the power button for 10 seconds and do a hard reset. Anyone else have ever encounter this hiccup? I'm hoping it's an isolated incident and I don't need to call tech support or forbid sending it in for repair like in the 360 days.
Since it worked again after the hard reset I wouldn't be concerned. AC:O probably froze and locked you system up is all. You should have tried a digital game to see if one of those would have loaded.
To do a hard reset, do u need the system to be on or off before holding the power button for 10 seconds?
To do a hard reset, you just need to hold the power button for 10 seconds while it is turned on.
And yeah, I tried my digital games too and they worked, even before I did the hard reset. I am also hoping it was just AC that froze. It did freeze up after the buzzing sound started. I just found it weird that no other discs would read until I did a hard reset. I think I am just going to go digital from now on anyway since I have a big enough HDD.
It probably just locked up whatever software is responsible for booting up games.
As far as the hard reset goes, you just need to hold the power button down for a few seconds regardless if the console in sleep mode or on. Pretty much fixes any weird issues that is happening with your console, from controllers acting weird to wifi not working to the internet explorer app being glitchy.
Never played it but I know that games like Exile won't let you log on unless you're connected to live because of how your character is tied to your account, which can only be accessed through online.
> Been getting some loud fan noise from my One S.... It's louder then my Pro... Argh.
Jesus, that must be loud then. Is it just during games or all the time?
I have a "Day One", S, and the X and all of them are super quiet. The "S" is in our living room and I only hear it doing its beep noises during the boot up process and when the drive spins when I put a disc in it. Did you put it in an enclosed area or maybe where it doesn't have much clearance at the top of the machine?
The X is going to be the lead platform for both Forza Horizon 4 and Fable 4, so its going to be interesting to see what those games will look like and how they're going to run. And I agree with RR as amazing bang for your buck. I've put about 210 hours into it and I'm only just over half way done. Not a bad $30 investment (or free if you watched e3 with the mixer app).
