Lol. Killed the Tower Knight in Demon's Souls not realizing there's a trophy for doing it without killing any archers.

I started my first game as knight to get used to the controls again, but yesterday I started a new game as royalty. It's fun to be op in DeS

Getting that magic scaling crescent falchion maxed makes for a fun mage swordsman build. You can grab it pretty early too.

I went with a Royal my first character last year as well. The new magic effects are so satisfying. The magic feels like it is heavy and impacts enemies. The sound is also great.

lol yeah. I don't watch any of those fudging clickbait careerist "influencers". I click "fudge dat crap" and my youtube page tends to be pretty good. Filled with eagle cams, legit good game reviewers, progressive politics.

Dark Alliance is set to release this summer, I can't believe I forgot about this! No local co-op and sadly no cross play... but it looks like it will be a cheaper game when it releases, so I am all in.

Finally they're giving away for HZD, for those who have not played it yet.

That's a pretty nice list! I think it's time to dust off my PSVR and play through Rez Infinite.

Frozen Wilds is soooo good! Definitely one of the best pieces of story-driven DLC from last gen.

I am actually starting up the DLC tonight for HZD, The Frozen Wilds. Been waiting until I finally got a PS5 to dig in. I wish they had a PS5 patch for updated features for HZD though. It still looks gorgeous on the PS5, I just wish it had a higher framerate a bit.

Why are people going nuts over the Dualsense Charging station? I just charge em with a USB c cable.

Honestly, not sure why. It took a month for me to find one. Just walked into EB Games and there it was. Makes a satisfying click when you pop the controller in also. I mainly wanted one to keep my controllers organized.

TBH

Maybe it's more of an organization / display / convenience thing. Kinda like a Media Remote for your PS3, PS4, PS5...not necessary but nice to have.

Wish I could use one, anything in my kids reach is grabbed at and thrown about. the antennas on my router were ripped off in said manner

I like the charging station because, with the weird wobbly stand thing when you have the PS5 horizontal, plugging things in and out in the back is a pain, and I like to keep the front free for my headphones dongle.

I got this station for the PS5. I don't know if it needs cooling or not, but I like all the extra ports and look/stability it provides. Not wobbily at all.

Do you regularly unplug the headphones dongle? Why not keep that plugged in with the back port? Or do you use the back port for the charging station?

I wish we did not need dongles for headsets to work wirelessly on the PS5. That is my only gripe with the Pulse 3D... Even the Sony Golds really, I could see the use for one on the PS3, but dongles should have died when the PS4 rolled around.

The dongles probably work better and drop out less than Bluetooth would. That's my guess. It's still better than a mess of wires.

That's true, it's just fugly... I have mine in the back so I don't have to look at it, I am just worried someone will try and push the PS5 back against the wall. though I suppose I could use a USB extender? I can hide that really good.

Bluetooth has been noticeably dated tech in my house this week. Never had issues before but it's all dropping like mad. Maybe there's radiation in my pipes.

Well there are different versions of bluetooth and I'm assuming older ones don't work well in comparison.

IMO, I always though bluetooth technology was unreliable. Pairing has never felt easy in the history of using bluetooth connected products.

PSVR 2 controllers
image

● Adaptive triggers: Each VR controller (Left and Right) includes an adaptive trigger button that adds palpable tension when pressed, similar to what's found in the DualSense controller. If you've played a PS5 game, you'll be familiar with the tension in the L2 or R2 buttons when you press them, such as when you're drawing your bow to fire an arrow. When you take that kind of mechanic and apply it to VR, the experience is amplified to the next level.

● Haptic feedback: The new controller will have haptic feedback optimized for its form factor, making every sensation in the game world more impactful, textured and nuanced. When you're traversing through rocky desert or trading blows in melee combat, you'll feel the difference, magnifying the extraordinary visual and audio experience that's so central to VR.

● Finger touch detection: The controller can detect your fingers without any pressing in the areas where you place your thumb, index, or middle fingers. This enables you to make more natural gestures with your hands during gameplay.

● Tracking: The VR controller is tracked by the new VR headset through a tracking ring across the bottom of the controller.

● Action buttons / analog sticks: The Left controller contains one analog stick, the triangle and square buttons, a "grip" button (L1), trigger button (L2) and Create button. The Right controller contains one analog stick, the cross and circle buttons, a "grip" button (R1), trigger button (R2) and Options button. The "grip" button can be used to pick up in-game objects, as one example.

This sounds like a great upgrade from what PSVR currently has, I'm kinda excited for it, but wouldn't mind it not coming out til like 2023 or later
