See below. It's not about DL size, it's about timing and "more" downloads when a game is set to "preload me because I'm just waiting on the date/time now".

Correct, in that it is a "pre-load" so that you can play the game immediately. But preloading a game to play it at midnight is one thing. Pre-loading for that purpose but then having additional DLs several days before the release date is lame. So it
wasn't ready after-all. Sure, if you can DL 100GB then 20GB more isn't life threatening but why not just put out a 120GB DL 3 days before release instead of 7 days? I have no confidence that when the game actually releases that I can play right away. So why would I bother to preload? Even knowing that day-of DL's are going to be slower. At least I know that's the latest build.
