Might as well get it started. Who's looking forward to it? I personally think that it could beat PS5, that is if they don't screw up. They need a basic UI, more first party titles, and focus only on gaming. They own the license to Rare games, we need to see new Conkers, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, etc. They did alright with Killer Instinct, I'll give them that, but they're sitting on a lot of games that needs remade, remastered, and sequels.
As far as I know, it's slightly more powerful than the PS5, which isn't a big deal. But what is a big deal is that it will come with more storage. XBSX will have 1TB, which I admit, is not much by today's standards. The PS5 will have 825GB, which is ridiculous. I'm guessing that the next gen games will be around 100gb or more in size on average. If that is the case, I expect the discs will be on 4k UHD blu-rays.

I don't play the generic yearly FPS games, so it's kinda new to me.

The CoD games are available physical, campaign usually on disc and surprisingly hold a bit of value. The bulk of this garbage just makes for a decent coaster.

I'm trying to think of which CoD in the last generation literally installed 125MB off the disc and downloaded the rest. It was hilarious.

Honestly I have only bought the first 2 MWs way back and the Cold War. So I don't really know about most of them. But those are decent campaigns mostly on disc and crap loads of MP patches. At this point it feels like a minor upgrade if any to a decades old formula that everyone on earth has mastered but me.

Did Cold War even have a SP component? Thought it was just zombies and MP

It has a pretty good campaign. That's all I played. Feels like the older stuff that was focused on SP imho.

I thought coop wasn't coming to Halo Infinite until spring 2022?

I kinda hope GamePass doesn't normalize this whole "we won't have certain features at launch that have always been there (co-op, Slayers multiplayer? people are complaining about some multiplayer being missing), but will be added later" just cause most people are using GamePass and not actually buying products missing features that should be standard.

Well it usually doesn't include any DLC, but I doubt they'd remove actual game components.

Yeah from all the reviews I've watched and read so far for Halo Infinite's single player game the consensus is yeah it's great but could have been even greater with coop at launch. Covid or not, they had a year extra to polish and add and fix crap yet a major portion of the game is still an estimated 6 months out and by that time ppl will have already since moved on. SMH.

The co op campaign

Oh, I thought they just weren't adding that at all. Or is it just local co-op that's never being added, but even online co-op won't be available for 6 months? Either way, if that's the only thing missing, I wouldn't really consider that a "major portion of the game".

There's a lot of us that specifically only want to play the campaigns with friends, same with Gears.

It's definitely a major portion of the game

You're welcome to your opinion. All I said was that I wouldn't consider it to be. I do hope they add co-op, but the whole campaign is still there.

I mean literally everything we say on this forum is an opinion, I think we all just take that as a given without stating it after each opinion post.

My point is that many people do consider it to be a major part of the game, just to point out is all, it wasn't like some direct attack or.anything.

Didn't take it as an attack at all yes Since you said "definitely", it came off to me like there was simply no room for argument lol I definitely understand it's a big thing people want. I'm planning to play through all of the Halos with my son soon, and hate that there will be no local co-op starting with 5 frown

I remember when we got Halo from Kmart on launch day. We were like "meh same old" then we figured out coop and warthogs. It made the game imho.

I've always preferred playing Halo campaigns solo the first time, but then they're fun to to re-play in co-op.

will the Halo Co-op or have they had in the past had different Characters that played different or had different stories like the chic in Gears 5? or is Halo CoOp just 2 same players Foxhole buddy etc?

Can you no longer buy Forza Horizon 3 Digital?

SwiftJAB

7-Dec(#70)
@groo nope. Licenses only last for so long on these games, so they get delisted after a few years. Only option is physical. The real bummer is that the only way you can get the DLC is by having a redeem code that is in circulation. I regret not getting the DLC when I could, but then again, I rarely play Forza Horizon. I just like to jump in from time to time to check out the visuals and physics. I'd probably play a lot more if I had a wheel and peddles.

Once I get my series X in I'm gonna do the year conversion and enjoy a whole bunch of halo Infinite campaign and Forza Horizon 5 on my new Samsung qn90 woot! I'm ok with no co-op at launch.

In the past it's been both. Halo 3 for instance one person is arbiter one is master chief. Halo 4 you're both master chief and it plays as if you're both just one person but you both play if that makes sense.

It's not really as good as gears story wise for co-op incorporation but it's still fun

Exactly. I have no interest in Halo at all without couch co-op campaign. (Which is why I haven't played Halo since Halo 4.)

I'm very excited that this version will finally have couch co-op campaign again -- but I won't buy it until that exists.

Indeed! We'd have youth group Halo (2) parties. Two Xboxes playing 4-player split-screen each for 8-player games. It was amazing! Good times.

This was the best really. It was great to play a full co-op campaign when both were individual characters that mattered. My wife and I loved this. When we renewed our license plates that year, I got "JOHN 117" and she got "ARBIT3R". yes

I have Gears 4 and 5 literally still in the shrinkwrap waiting to be played. We really liked early Gears, but stopped playing it for some reason. I think they just didn't stand up to our favorite: Borderlands 2. (To be clear, Halo was clearly our favorite for a long time, until they stopped doing couch co-op.) We finished BL3 long ago, but still play it in the limited time we have to play these days. We're very anxiously awaiting Tiny Tina's Wonderslands next year! So excited!! :)

But, yes, as soon as we move on from BL3, it'll be Gears 4. yes

I wasn't as pleased with G4 as I was with G5 - 4 felt like they realized 'crap, we never put any colors into our games, so lets use blue A LOT'. 5 was way better on every front.

Used to love Gears of War, but have not been able to get into the franchise since the 3rd. I tried, the newest looks great at 4k 120hz but just not Diggin it.

My bros and I enjoyed 3 player co-op on Gears 5. There were a few sections that just felt too long, but overall it was super fun. I think I skipped Gears 3 and 4 which made following the story less enjoyable as there were a lot of tie-ins.
