Have any misses on your list that you held off on due to price that now in the realm off "not gonna fudgein happen"?

I've got a few, but Zeldas Adventure is my biggest regret. I scored Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon (both sealed) for like $50 a lifetime ago. Zelda is my Achilles heel. I have (to my knowledge) largely every Zelda console and game (including random repros and after market of bigger fan made titles - I'm sure there's more), minus two Zelda games, and a system -
1. Windwaker / Metroid Prime combo (GCN)
2. Zelda's Adventure (CD-i)
3. Minish Cap system (GBA SP)

When I was first shopping it, it was around $200ish if memory serves. Forgot about it for years. Jumped between $300-$500 when I was debating it again. NOW, randomly browsing eBay with a buzz on ... It's over 2 grand.

Just fudge off. Not gonna happen now. I don't collect stuff I didn't play growing up, with this being my only real exception. To date I've watched the CD-i Zelda games, but never played.

Still... I feel like I have to get this but the price point is just stupid and my wife would murder me.

Yet all 3 of the above are in the same realm of insanity when ample opportunity existed to get them at realistic prices a lifetime ago. No one to blame but myself.

I'm afraid to look. *Goes and looks*

I saw one, did a double take, and my eyes went wide for a second.

There are some games I'd like to play that aren't crazy pricey, but have gotten too expensive for what they are. I'm not paying $25 for Batman Game Boy or $50 for Popeye 2 Game Boy .

That's not much more than retail.

But neither experience is one I'd want for those prices. There was probably a time when Batman was $10 online, but 25 isn't worth it to me. Popeye 2 is sad as well, since it looks alright and I'm willing to take a chance on it, but not for $50. Those aren't triple-digit figures, I know, but they're just not feasible for the brief enjoyment I'd expect to get from them.

I feel like shipping costs have affected the online marketplace for the lower priced games. If you are selling a game, you have to consider shipping box/bubble mailer, postage, fees, return headaches, etc. 1st class package if you walk into usps is what these days, $5-6?

For a single game yeah. I sent 2 DS games recently first class and that would have been over $9 in person!

If you don't mind Japanese text, might be worth importing a Japanese copy. I'm considering doing that with Popeye 2 NOW that I know if it's existence thanks to you raspberry

Or I could borrow it from you when you've beaten it and reimburse you for shipping, if you're open to that. wry smile

OH I'm not planning on buying it anytime soon. But if I remember by that point you're welcome to.
