Might as well get it started. Who's looking forward to it? I personally think that it could beat PS5, that is if they don't screw up. They need a basic UI, more first party titles, and focus only on gaming. They own the license to Rare games, we need to see new Conkers, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, etc. They did alright with Killer Instinct, I'll give them that, but they're sitting on a lot of games that needs remade, remastered, and sequels.
As far as I know, it's slightly more powerful than the PS5, which isn't a big deal. But what is a big deal is that it will come with more storage. XBSX will have 1TB, which I admit, is not much by today's standards. The PS5 will have 825GB, which is ridiculous. I'm guessing that the next gen games will be around 100gb or more in size on average. If that is the case, I expect the discs will be on 4k UHD blu-rays.

20-Jan-2023(#201)The X/S Version of Werewolf: The Apocalypse is $10. I've been waiting for this game since 2009. It's the same indie level studio that did the fantastic stealth game Styx: Master of Shadows.
Ignore the reviews, it's a throwback to ridiculous, gory button mashers. It's a stealth game when you're a human or wolf and then if you if get caught or get angry during a conversation/interrogation, you turn into this ridiculous werewolf with a ton of powers. Graphics look fine for an indie game trying to make a AAA game, the animations on your character are great and the monsters look fantastic. The soundtrack is a well done thrash metal instrumental type.
It reminds me of Hulk Ultimate Destruction because LITERALLY everything is destructible in the game.
It's worth $10 bucks and i'm enjoying it more than most AAA games i've played recently.

* 20-Jan-2023(#202)I enjoyed it for a night but it gets old really fast. Then you notice how dull, repetitious, and actually broken it is. You can just ignore stealth altogether and just fight everybody and it makes no difference. So why have the stealth at all? And why make a werewolf game where you're inside buildings 90% of the time and all of them look identical?

23-Jan-2023(#204)The newest Gungrave is awful. Barely could get through it.
I'm still enjoying the hell out of werewolf. It's exactly what I wanted. Not every game has to be an epic piece of art. Werewolf is certainly the Michael Bay of games, fast, fun and rediculous. I don't even try to be stealthy anymore. I'm not trying to get the good ending.
Is the Doom 3 in Gamepass the updated one withe the flashlight mod?
Also, is Dishonored Death of an Outsider worth playing? I wanted to get another shooter or two in before Atomic Heart drops on Gamepass.

23-Jan-2023(#206)I second the recommendation of Donut County. You're basically a hole that goes around eating everything. It's mindless fun and a nice palette cleanser between bigger games.

23-Jan-2023(#209)I booted up my XsX and decided to give Moonscars a shot. The first boss killed me a lot, but then I explored and got some upgrades and got it second try after that.

I don't know if it's the BFG edition on GP (which introduced using the flashlight with a gun) but yes, you can on the Xbox version.

How often have you used it? I’ve been using it exclusively for the past decade or so and it meets my search needs just fine.

24-Jan-2023(#214)Probably 20 times, each time giving me something that mostly had little to do with what I asked. I use brave pulling info from Google now.
Google might be evil and hell bent on intruding your privacy but they make a good search engine.
Bing just isn't very good.
Anxiouz
* 24-Jan-2023(#215)Bing is adequate but really not great and doesn't feel much better than the early days of search. It can get you to close to what you're looking for but sometimes takes a few tries to get it right.
DarkFact
* 24-Jan-2023(#216)Rarely don't find what I'm looking for in Bing and they pay out instead of just cashing in on me with no reciprocity. Google also seems to promote scammy spammy results towards the top that look legit but arent. Bing wins for me
I don't see what makes Google so much better. It's not hard to keep scrolling and looking if you don't get it on the first result

25-Jan-2023(#221)For the life of me, no matter the way I try to play Gamepass or my Xbox through my Steam Deck remotely, it lags and makes it unplayable. It's either a half second to a second delay, massive frame dips or both. My Xbox just isn't in a spot I normally play in and remote play would be way better.

26-Jan-2023(#223)Signalis - Honestly have no idea what this game is about but I'm liking it. Just beat the first boss. It's like a top down Resident Evil style game, I guess. 6 item inventory limit. Enemies can get back up/respawn after being killed unless you shove a flare up their butt-hole.

29-Jan-2023(#224)Signalis - 10/10
Play Signalis. It's great. So fudging good. Like a Mashup of Resident Evil and Silent Hill with a weird as fudge story.
It's like if A24 made a video game.
I'm gonna probably play it again.
So fudging good.

2-Feb-2023(#227)I didn't even know Crossfire had a single player campaign.
It looks mindless with good Remedy style lore, might give it a go.
Anxiouz
2-Feb-2023(#228)CrossfireX on GP lets you play the 1st half of the campaign not the entire thing. It's not terrible but it's not great either. Definitely doesn't have Remedy's usual high quality bar.

Highly skill dependent. 5-6 hrs if you’re on it. Probably like 15 or so to plat.
It’s heavily influenced by simon’s quest- a game I would rent often as a kid- so it was a complete joy for me to play.
It’s tough to play it once though- I made a decision I regretted in the first few minutes.

2-Feb-2023(#233)I just tried Deaths Door, very cool game. I only just started but died about 5 times on the first soul I'm supposed to capture.
As far as remote play, I am trying it in a different location on wifi on my 5th gen 12.9 iPad Pro. I was able to get Red Dead to load and work but I tried Fortnite and it goes to the menu and tells me to reconnect the controller. I tried Deaths Door and No Man's Sky and it gives me an error that says quit remote play first. Disconnect your remote play session to play games from the cloud, or launch something already installed
I'm sure I'm not doing something right but I'm loving this Series X

7-Feb-2023(#235)the Hot Wheels game on Gamepass is FUNNNNNN and it has the season pass so you get like 80 cars with it.
The graphics are great, the cars look like toys, the reflections and models are fantastic.
Haven't tried split screen with it.
Darkest Dungeon is BACK on Gamepass, those that haven't played it, give it a shot. Its one of my all time favorite games.

Sadly, it was not that great ... I was kind of disappointed. Still, super early build, will revisit once it's final.

I was afraid of that. I love Arkane's games. But this one doesn't look good to me. I'm not sure I'll like this one.

I don't think you can judge off a pre release, they have 3 months of non stop crunch time.

The campaign stuff is fine but most of our fun was found in the UGC tracks. So many new tracks it kept things fresh for us for a long time.

8-Feb-2023(#241)Holy god, i took a little nibble of an edible yesterday afternoon and played that Hot Wheels game for like 4 hours yesterday.
Wow, i am hooked. I really like that the campaign is challenging, some of those races are NOT EASY.
I really like that you're able to sell back or scrap cars you get in the loot boxes, i wish more games would do that.
ALSO, WOW, the soundtrack is amazing. I don't know if its an original score or they got unknown licensed tracks, but its a great mix of funk, electronic, dubstep and trance.
Ignore the bad reviews and download that when you get a chance.
