GameTZ Oath

Honesty

Honesty is the foundation of trust. Every trader here is continually striving to develop and maintain a good reputation built on trust. Being honest in all your trades is essential to your reputation and thus your success as a trader.

Be honest about the condition of the items you are sending in a trade.

Be honest about when you send your side of a trade.

Only list items you are willing to trade.

Be honest.

Responsibility

Being a trader is a responsibility. When you make an agreement to trade with someone it is a contract. Another person is depending on you to follow through on what you agreed to.

Don't agree to a trade unless you are sure.

Follow through on your trades.

Be responsible.

Courtesy

Courtesy is the grease that keeps the trading engine at GameTZ running smoothly. Any sign of hostility can quickly sour a trade. The best way to avoid this is to conduct yourself in a polite manner while staying in contact during all phases of trading. If a problem arises, keep your cool and be patient, it can make all the difference.

Maintain polite and regular communications with anyone you are trading with.

Be courteous.

Speed

Speed is important to trading. Waiting for someone to respond or send their side of a trade can be a real drag. If you're slow, it can erode the trust other traders have in you.

Respond to offers and trade negotiations in a timely manner.

Send your side of a trade without delay.

Be quick to respond.

Initiative

Trading is an active process. The most successful traders are the ones who put the most effort into it. Work the system to make the best trades for yourself. Add everything you want to trade to your lists. Use various features like searching, the match system, and forums to find people to trade with.

Make as many offers as you can.

Don't be discouraged by a few rejections.

Take the initiative.

Fairness

Fairness is an important trait of a successful trader. Traders of GameTZ are part of a community. We're not here to exploit each other. We're here to make mutually beneficial deals with each other. Overvaluing your stuff or undervaluing the items of the other trader is not appreciated.

Be fair.

Packing

Shipping goods to other people is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. You can make a great deal with someone, only to see it go bad because you failed to pack what you sent properly.

Pack your items well to ensure against damage in transit.

Use tracking services like Delivery Confirmation and insurance when appropriate.

When shipping outside your country, be aware of customs rules.

Communicate with the other trader about how you will ship.

Pack your shipments properly.

Sending-First

There are inherent risks in trading on-line and it's best to take precautions to protect yourself. As a new user with no established reputation here, you will be asked to send first when making trades initially. This can be very risky if you yourself are dealing with another new user. For this reason, you should only deal with reputable "starred" traders until you have established your own reputation. You may not ask other established traders here to send first. If you have a high value item that you do not feel comfortable sending first, it may be best to wait until you have established your own reputation here (bronze star or above) before trying to trade or sell it.

Trade only with good traders who have stars (Bronze Star Silver Star Gold Star Double Gold Star Triple Gold Star Quadruple Gold Star Quintuple Gold Star).

Rules

GameTZ has some basic, common sense rules. The rules include no dealing in pirated items; all trades are for original media, no copies. Also, no dealing in pornography. Finally, you must only use one GameTZ account. If you have trouble accessing your account, contact the site moderators and they will help you.

Please email GameTZ Moderators () if you have any questions.
