The newest guitar hero game is out, but sadly this review is not for that game. So if you are looking for the newest guitar hero game, you have come to the wrong place. Still, Guitar Hero: World Tour is a great game, and it's worth it to read a Guitar Hero review if you can't decide which one to get.
Graphics:
Not as good as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but still a step up from last gen consoles, like the PS2, so it's no problem. On top of that, if you're playing the game, you'll be looking at the highway, not the stage and characters. Again, it's the Wii, so it's something you may want to expect by now.
Sound/ Controls:
This is what separates Guitar Hero: World Tour from Rock Band 2. I feel that Guitar Hero has better music and that's what matters in a game like this. I have played both, so you know I'm not just saying that. But other than that, it's rock music. The track list has many good artists and has many songs from many different genres of rock. Basically, it's good and playing a plastic guitar isn't half bad.
Gameplay:
This is a little bit self explanatory - play a plastic guitar and feel like a rock star. Not much else. The online play and the addition of drums and the microphone really helps. To be honest, it's Rock Band with different songs. Downloadable content is low, but the song creator really helps, so it evens itself out.
Replay Value:
With a ton of great songs to choose from, this explains itself as well. If you like the songs, why wouldn't you play them? I know I would, because I enjoy the game and any other player that does will play the songs over and over as well. And when you're done, you can try to set a world record or do a video of yourself on YouTube!
Leaning Curve:
Guitar Hero: World Tour is easy to pick up and start playing. Hold buttons on the neck of the guitar and press the strum bar. Sounds easy? Well, it can be, but can also be really hard. With five difficulty levels, anyone of any skill level can play Guitar Hero: World Tour.
