Summary

One of the best Star Wars games and one of the funnest experiences in a while. With only a few problems that can hurt the game, they are outweighed by the excellent story and pick-up-and-play controls. A must have for Star Wars fans.

Description

The Force Unleashed is quite possibly the best Star Wars game to date. In this game the writers took it upon themselves to explore a time in the Star Wars universe that hasn't quite been explored... the events between episode 3 and 4. During this, you are the secret weapon being molded and formed by Darth Vader. Your main mission is to kill the remaining Jedis that survived the overthrow of the Republic. But soon you see what your true place is in the galaxy. The whole experience is about 7 hours if you rush through.

The controls are very easy to pick up and there are training classes that help you use the massive powers you are given to the full. It is really fun to electrocute a stormtrooper, impale him with your saber, then chuck him into a T.I.E. fighter. The way the environment reacts to your actions are astonishing. Wood splinters, metal bends like a spoon, and your enemies behave like real people, except for the killing wookies part.

Also, the graphics and sound are exceptional. The graphics are smooth and very few glitches appear throughout the game. And with the new songs added to the original soundtrack from the movies, it feels and sounds excellent.

One major flaw in this game is the replay value. It is fairly low and the lack of a longer story or multiplayer drag the game lower. A little more game time would have fixed this problem possibly.

If you are a Star Wars fan, go to the store and get this game or get somebody to trade it to you on this site. And if you aren't a fan, rent this to give it a test run. But I am sure you will like this game.
