Description

You play the role of James Grayson, an ex-marine who plans to stop the Chimera from spreading and taking over the world.

Enlisted by the European Resistance, The Maquis, you will learn the Chimera have evolved a new method of converting humans. A not so nice method either.

With big bosses, good friends, and a whole lot of monsters and Chimera, your job is to scope em all out one by one.

As a one man army, with a large arsenal of weapons you must go on a mission to seek revenge for the death of your brother and put an end to all of this bloody Chimera crap.

Fate lies in your hands. Good luck.

There is no sense in beating around the bush. Resistance Retribution is an excellent game with a few minor flaws. It's a very memorable title to the series and for PSP fans.

Resistance Retribution is a third-person shooter produced by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Bend Studios, released for the Playstation Portable (PSP) in 2008.

It is the second game in the series, taking place after the events of Resistance: Fall of Man, but before Resistance 2. It is, however, the only Resistance port to be available on handheld, not being on the Playstation 3 (PS3).

The overall length of the campaign/story mode is around 7-10 hours depending on the difficulty.
The game has great third person graphics with some first person moments. There are many in-game cutscenes throughout the game, providing a great explanation to the overall storyline. At times it may seem hard-headed and serious, other times humorous and smart.

The game has an auto-lock system when shooting at enemies making it easier for beginners of the genre, but can be turned off and is not intact when zoomed-in. During the game you will mainly hear shots being fired, the sound of your mutant enemies, and things being destroyed, making it all seem very realistic and a great in-game experience.

There are a few options for the difficulty setting of this game giving players the chance to have an easier playthrough, or a more difficult advanced playthrough. It really is not hard to become used to, when playing for the first few rounds, and could be intended for gamers of all ages.

This game does have a high replay value, great online, and is compatible with Resistance 2, including an 'Infected Mode' which gives the players a chance to play through the campaign while Infected. Very little things change in the mode, giving Grayson a yellow eyed appearance, with some in-game dialogue being different. This mode ends when you turn off your PSP. You can also replay with the all of your obtained weapons collected throughout your first playthrough, making it a faster and easier process to complete the story mode. Resistance Retribution is also playable with a Dualshock 3 controller when connected through a PS3 for all you controller fans.
