We agreed on this trade on 7 May 2000, but we didn't send until the beginning of June because I had to buy the game he wanted and it was expensive.

I sent "Neon Genesis Evangelion" for the N64 via Airmail, and Adam was to send a Game Boy Color, a Worm Light, and a Final Fantasy Tactics strategy guide via Global Priority Mail. We were to send at the same time. I sent my package on 6 June 2000, and he received it on about June 15th.

His father sent the package on June 8th and it arrived on July 17th. It took over a month to arrive because it was sent via SURFACE instead of via Global Priority. Adam told me that he didn't know his father had sent it via Surface, and repeatedly told me it had been sent "Priority".

On 3 July 2000, I sent an ultimatum to him (you can read the entire ICQ conversation log at http://www.pazu.net/temp/UGTZ/adam_lakus-icq_log.t... ) where I told him that I would have my attorney hunt him down and extract what was owed to me.

Now, this may have been a little more forceful than absolutely necessary, but I felt Adam hadn't lived up to his side of the agreement, and I was upset at the way he was dealing with it. I filed the BTR, as I said I would in the message above, but I removed it because Adam posted a retaliatory BTR full of incorrect information. I was unsuccessful in getting that bogus BTR removed, so I felt there was no other recourse in order to get rid it.

On top of that, the Worm Light was not included in the package. Adam had written a small note saying it had broken and he was going to send another. He never sent the other Worm Light, and never brought it up until I confronted him about it after I received the package (remember, this was over 1 month after he sent it without the Worm Light).

To resolve this whole mess, Adam agreed to send me an International Postal Money Order for $23 to make up the difference in shipping costs and the lack of the Worm Light in the package.

The letter was sent on July 26th and it arrived August 5th, but Adam only sent an IPMO for $10. This has been one very frustrating trade because Adam has agreed to do things that he hasn't done (sending two days late, not sending the worm light, not sending the package via airmail, not sending $23). I've never been this frustrated with a trade before.

I finally agreed to complete the trade on GameTZ, but I still believe people should be warned about this. His actions are unacceptable, dishonest, and childish. I also decided to repost this BTR because he shouldn't be allowed to get away with this, even though the amount is quite small ($13). If and when I receive my $13 I will remove this BTR.

[NOTE: This was sent to all three email addresses I have for you.]

Adam:

I wanted to give you a chance to clear up your BTR now that it's been about one year since it was filed. All you need to do to get the BTR removed and have your account reinstated is to send me a money order for $13. I now live in the States, so it will be much easier for you to do this. You can even use Delivery Confirmation if you want to.

I'd really like to get this taken care of. I don't think you are a bad person, and I'd like to see you back on GameTZ.

Please let me know what you'd like to do.

Hopefully he'll respond.
