I am looking to SELL OR TRADE ONLY for mostly
games I need for my collection but am open to other games from other systems that I could use to trade for things I need. I tend to collect just LOOSE CARTRIDGE
games, but am not opposed to doing trades for boxed games, or alternately doing a trade for just the cart and you keep the box. I do like to collect the manuals as well, but its not a dealbreaker if you don't have it with the game. Also, unless specifically stated otherwise, the condition listed on my cartridge games generally refers to the condition of the front label, not the back. Items in my collection are NOT available for trade.
Since my time on the site, I've noticed there are generally three types of traders I deal with: game snobs who won't even speak to you unless you have a ultra rare/sealed/complete game to offer; resellers who are here to get as many games as they can to resell and want waaaay more in trades to do a deal; and traders who think my battery upgrades should be free (see bullet #3 below). If you fall into any of these categories, please do not message me because I'm not interested in trading with you! Overall I am a very easygoing and reasonable trader who will work with you on making a trade work, but having said that, please read
the following "rules" before you hit me up.
Whoever has less trades under their belt always sends first, unless I am selling. In cases where I am selling, I expect payment BEFORE sending regardless of who has the most trades. You wouldn't expect Amazon to ship a game to you first, then you pay for it, so why would you expect that here? Also, if buying only a single game and the cost to ship is more than the game is worth, then I expect a few bucks to be included to cover shipping; if I'm just barely making back the cost to ship, then I'm basically giving away free games which obviously isn't a good deal! So I will not give away free games or send first if buying. Period.
I go by VGPC prices, and expect the same within reason if trading with me...VGPC pulls from a variety of sources (not just eBay
, where prices can be overpriced and exaggerated) so I believe this is an accurate guide that is fair for both traders. It's obviously not perfect, but a good starting point. I'm not going to argue over a few dollars' difference (ie less than $5) but by the same token, I won't deal with traders who think their games are worth more than VGPC value and want a huge trade gap in their favor to do a deal. If you're not willing to generally adhere to VGPC's prices, then we're probably not a good match. Period.
If a game has been marked as battery upgraded it means I have installed a new battery (as well as a replaceable battery terminal which allows you to swap out the battery with no soldering required). This is not
a free upgrade (you wouldn't expect a game store to do it for free, so why would I?) so these games are worth more than what VGPC indicates because I have put time and effort into upgrading them. Prices are based on what I've historically been able to sell them for, so they won't be traded for market value. Period.
As far as completing deals, I am not opposed to doing a combination of
, movies, or gift cards (if available) to complete a trade. However, gift cards will not
be traded for anything less than their actual value...gift cards, unlike games, do not fluctuate in value. If a gift card is worth $25 today, it will be worth $25 a year from now. I will not trade them for less than the actual value. Period.
I try to list items accurately, so please do the same. If, however, you feel an item you received was not represented accurately please message me before leaving negative feedback so we can find a solution. All reasonable offers will be considered, but those expecting to get something for nothing through lowball offers will be disappointed. Also if I make you an offer please reply as I think it's extremely rude to ignore offers. Certainly there are times when you cannot/forget to respond as I know I have but there are several traders I have made offers to who consistently do not respond at all. At a certain point I just quit making offers to those people even if they have something I really need and would ignore any offers they made in return. So if you do not reply I will eventually stop doing trades with you.
TRADERS I AVOID:
alexkidd401 (was a real jerk on another site when I inquired about a game from him. That's all. Just inquired. Pretty much started like a butthead from the beginning. If you want to be treated with decency and respect, avoid him at all costs!!)Also, if you're in the Maryland area, and would like a ride in a DeLorean, I will gladly exchange a free ride for commons I need for my collection. PM if interested!
