Looking to avoid going to ebay, and also avoid bootlegs, so I'm asking here. Many of you have some of these games in your collection, but you're probably not playing them so sell them to me and buy something you really want . Also willing to trade if money isn't your thing.
Here are some of the games I'm looking for and the price I'm looking to pay (they go for slightly more on average on eBay, but then you have to deal with fees and random buyers). Feel free to ask a higher price if you don't like my offer. Or a lower price if you think I'm a super swell guy and want to do me a favor.
Bomberman Land Touch ($25 shipped) Bomberman Land Touch 2 ($35 shipped) Contra 4 ($30$35 shipped) Cookie & Cream ($15$20 shipped) Dig Dug Digging Strike ($15$25 shipped) Dragon Ball Origins 2 ($40$45 shipped) Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts ($20$25 shipped) Freedom Wings ($18$22 shipped) Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits ($35 shipped) Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals ($45 shipped) Moon ($40$45 shipped) Nanostray 2 ($35 shipped) pending in Time Hollow ($40$45 shipped) Tokyo Beat Down ($40$45 shipped) Trackmania DS ($15 shipped) Trackmania Turbo: Build to Race ($20 shipped) Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble ($28$32 shipped)
I'll add more when I think of them, but this is a good starting list.
Edit: looking for complete (case/manual/cart) games only. Other inserts like reg card or club nintendo insert or health and safety warnings are nice, but not a dealbreaker if you don' have them.
Pictures may be required as well if you're not 100% certain it isn't a bootleg.
Again Children of Mana Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime From the Abyss Heroes of Mana Nanostray Phantasy Star Zero The Rub Rabbits Tingle's Balloon Fight Trace Memory Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
Rosy Rupeeland is awful. I used to have the UK release and sold it off. Balloon Trip of Love is too Japanese-heavy for me. I like Balloon Fight, so a 4 player DS version sounds great, even if you have to be Tingle.
Good games are much easier to know in retrospect. With the ds developers mostly transitioned to 3DS by late 2012, people have had almost 10 years to look back and really sift out what's good to play and what's just a good candidate to bin the game and repurpose the case.
And other than the masochists or people wanting complete collections, most folks go back for the good games (or the nostalgia bombs for games that aren't as good) rather than stuff like Ubisoft's "Imagine" line...
> Oddly enough Trace Memory was one of my first DS games. Good crap.
> Dragon Quest IX is criminally underrated in that series.
> Lately I've been playing a lot of Dreamcast and PS1 but DS has to be up there for
> my play time as well overall.
I have DQ9 already, although admittedly I do not have a lot of time for RPGs right now (which is why there aren't many in my wanted list above). I've also discovered as the years pass that I don't like playing them as much as I like the idea of them.
Nowadays, I find myself preferring action RPGs (or action games with RPG trimmings) to the old school turn based ones. Brave Fencer Musashi on PS1 may be my favorite of the action RPG crowd. Or Morrowind. Both are good for different reasons.
I've been enjoying shorter jrpgs on the PS1. Stuff that is like 30-40 hours. I am not sure when the craze of the longer the better started, maybe it was PS2 era. DQ games are definitely meaty, I haven't played through one in years at this point.
Thanks. Laat time I looked it was all third party sellers and this is a game that is bootlegged fairly often. But it says sold and shipped by Amazon now. Here's hoping Amazon themselves at least won't ship a bootleg.
This company is coming up in conversations a second time for me this month, as we were discussing Gunner's Heaven. I didn't know they developed Valkyria Chronicles 4 and now Wizards of OZ. Kinda just glossed over it when I looked at their resume on Wiki
