It will be interesting to see how eBay and CL prices tank if this thing stays in stock!

I hope the NES tanks too!

I went to my local Toys-R-Us at 12:20 over lunch, got 1, they had a few left. 2 co-workers were there 10 mins before, another was there ~25 mins later and they had sold out.

Also went to my local BB, they had sold out but told me they got 35 in, which is a lot more than I think they got of the NES. I'm just excited to play it this weekend.

They don't. Probably paying people to camp out at different stores or they split whatever they get for everything down the line between x amount of people.

I saw six tables on Sunday at a larger flea market about 40 minutes from where I live that had stacks each of them. None of the tables had a price showing. I asked one table how much, and he said $250 and I kept on walking and the dude said "If you gotta ask, you probably can't afford it" and laughed.

Fudge scalpers. Such arrogant dicks.

My local Facebook is chock full of people trying to sell them for $175+. Again with pictures of at least four of them at a time.

It's Nintendo's fault. Well, and Nintendo fans to a point. Everyone in lines were probably talking about how they were going to fund their next vacation on their SNES Classic sales because they can charge triple and the retards will buy it. And they did! I bet it was 80% Fortune Seekers and 20% actual customers.

How the hell is it Nintendo's fault? They delivered boat loads and basically stated you are stupid for paying more than MSRP. Might as well blame dirt and water for the world's drug problem.

My god people have no patience nowadays. Don't pay more than retail and there will be no scalping. Simple as that. Restocks are coming.

Their marketing crap during the NES Classic's original stint and their trickle-crap restocks during the holidays are the biggest reason everyone in the world knows these were low supply high demand in the first place. If they'd just pumped enough out from the start instead of letting speculators take over the market none of this would have been an issue. Now everyone buying it is, literally, buying it to resell it. So now it looks STUPID popular when I imagine it's like, probably only hitting about a quarter of its intended audience. The only difference this time around is I'm seeing a LOT less people who needed one not get one, but still, you've gotta figure more than half of these were simply taken off the market, not to return until Nintendo announces they're not making anymore, or until the scalpers realize they're sitting on $8K worth of product nobody's buying.

Wasn't a problem getting it anywhere but the States. Now it's a problem everywhere.

Cannot agree more. I'll admit, the nostalgia of Nintendo has "some" to do with it...but you don't see MS, Sony, etc. with this lack of supply = scalping problem like Nintendo has. Why? Because Nintendo isn't making enough of this crap.

Why was a Wii Fit Trainer Amiibo selling for 4x it's retail??? Once they rereleased them, the prices plummeted. It was the short supply that did it.

Sony puts out PLENTY of everything, so nothing is worth triple the day after it comes out dead face

There were quite a few 3rd party games on the NES and SNES also....Sony could certainly fork over some funds for some old PS1 titles....

I know it would be annoying with the quality of some people's internet, but wouldn't an internet connected PS1 box be sweet? It could be like the Sega channel...the game could download, then you could play it all you want until you choose to download another one.

OR, it could be all streaming with a huge library like Netflix. Streaming Suikoden 2 on a PS1, then jumping straight into SoTN would be amazing.

Honestly it's no one's fault except the people paying these scalpers in a panic. What else do you want Nintendo to do? Reggie specifically said do not pay scalpers. It's not his fault people are inpatient. Wait for stores to restock. It's going to happen soon. People with boatloads of SNES classics aren't going to be waiting in line during the restock just to get more inventory that they can't move. I bought mine from Target while everyone was waiting in line for them at Best Buy. Don't let the hype get your panties in a bunch. Patience is a virtue.

They didn't change the landing page for it so I'm sure all the robots were set in to flood after purchase. Glad to see they still don't care.

I have to imagine there's some sort of thing they could implement as an anti-DDOS or human checker, if their infrastructure isn't simply too antiquated to handle the regular load (it's probably robot flooding).
