Unless you're not RGB ready, in which case it's the right answer. But Genesis and PSX are all RGB out the gate I think so this is more of a NES/SNES/anything you have svideo/component as best of outputs solution. RGB modding for stuff gets expensive.

Great cheap way to hook up a Model 1 SNES unmodded or N64 using svideo cables, very clean picture on HDMI. I'm a strong proponent of cheap upscalers for "lower tier" consoles if you don't wanna fudge with mods and go down the RGB rabbit hole.

As an aside, SNES JR composite is actually pretty damn okay to a CRT. Feels close to PCE composite. Leagues ahead of Genesis or 2chip SNES. I'll probably dick with line doubling it to a VGA CRT later, for craps and giggles.

I am going to use the Retrotink with my AV Famicom. If it looks good enough I will probably drop the AVS again.

Like, I'm looking at the discs on the site and they look the same as the American version. Seems super weird that they would just not include Spanish subs in the American version...
