I acquired a copy of SNES Space Megaforce.. but it turns out the board inside was Breath of Fire. :*(, which means I'm left with a good condition space megaforce shell and label but no game board...

... therefore, I'm trying to buy a terrible condition cart on the cheap (relatively) so that I can pluck the game board out and put it in my good condition cart.

Anyone got the hook up? :D

p.s. a lesser want is an SNES Breath of Fire shell to put my breath of fire board only in :*D

The title made me smirk.

Sorry to hear about the motherboard swap. At least whoever did that didn't give you something like bass fishing.

I had someone do that with Ogre Battle for SNES but the game inside was some really some Mathew Modine pirates movie game. I had to drive back 40 minutes to get my money back. From that point back then I always had them let me test the more expensive games before I bought from them again.

Yeah, at least it was something decent. I just wish I knew the story behind it... who wants to separate a board from the original cart? Boards rarely break. If the board did break why would you swap it with Breath of Fire?? I have so many questions..

I actually bought this from a local game store for a steal, like $70.00... and like, I in general always check the boards when I get home for expensive games and usually dump the rom off the cart.. of course I didn't do that in this case for some strange reason.. and it was a year before I went to dump the cart and realized the rom was Breath of Fire. Too late to try to return it sadly.

I'd just sell the shell honestly. This sort of dicking around is just going to cost you more honestly, I'd cut my losses and try again. It's like trying to complete an incomplete DS game by grafting from three differing quality and completeness copies, like in the end after fees and shipping you paid 15% more than just buying an acceptable quality title to begin with, what the fudge was the point

You know, that's a fair point I didn't consider somehow.. there's probably someone with a crap shell looking to buy a good one. Cheers
