- Click your profile photo > "Paid memberships".
- On YouTube Premium, click the 3 dots in the corner > "Family share settings".
- Enter the email address or phone number of the person you want to invite.
- Select Send.

So it appears that Google is cracking down on these Family memberships. @jgrant78 recently reached out to me saying he now gets ads and Google said it's because he isn't actually in my household and needs him to prove it in order to let him use the Premium features again. @ChuckyDJ just messaged me today with the same thing.

We were up for renewal in a month and a half, but I think we may be at the end of the line.

Yes, it’s something that seems to happen more often now. I have removed @jgrant78 from the group per his request so he can do his own plan with his family. I will have to do the same with @ChuckyDJ. I have given 1 spot to my spouse and will see if we can get someone else new to continue this group. We are up for renewal as a group mid-May.

A couple of things:

1) We are up for renewal in mid-November, so I will send out offers soon...however...

2) ...YouTube announced a price hike that starts in April 2023 which would take hold in our April 2023 billing cycle, which would be the last month of our next 6 month period. It's going from $14.99 to $22.99. So it'll cost everyone $23 for 6 months instead of $15.

3) So if that changes whether you want to continue in the group, let me know and I'll find other people who may be interested in a spot.

4) So for the next renewal, it will be $16.34 a person to cover the increase in cost for the 1 month, and then when/if we renew in May next year, it'll be $23 a person for 6 months.

Background play (screen off but audio still plays)
Picture in Picture (video plays while you can do something else on your phone)
YouTube Music Premium
YouTube Originals (this was the original reason we made the group, to watch Cobra Kai Season 1)

For me, no ads alone makes it worth it. Download is nice too and picture in picture too.
