Hello Everyone,

I am helping a friend of mine with a new product line that we have put together- Cash Candles!

It is exactly what it sounds like- a locally owned and made candle that has a cash prize guaranteed inside each and every candle! Prizes can range from $1 to $5,000 cash inside each one! With the holidays approaching, who wouldn't love a great smelling candle that is locally owned and made with a bit of cash on the side?

We currently have the following scents available:

Cucumber Melon
Strawberry Lemonade
Apple Pie
Orange Cranberry
Fresh Linen

image

If you would like a scent not listed, please PM me and I will see what they can do. Cash Candles are $25 each plus shipping. Shipping and Pricing discounts will be given for larger orders. Currently only accepting Checks, Money Orders, Venmo, and Apple Pay. We will not accept cash in the mail (for obvious reasons) and trades will not be considered at this time.

The link below is to the kickstarter with additional information and story. Please feel free to give feedback in the kickstarter page or here! Any backings or support would be amazing!

Since this company has been formed and primarily conducts business in the state of florida, Cash Candle is compliant with all gambling and games of chance regulations. Agreed, you're going to need to put odds of winning out there, especially when similar products are giving higher minimum $$$ amounts.

I meant coupon not candle but yes. Odds are key.

You obviously dont have the capital for a 5000 prize if you are using kickstarter. So I imagine it's 99.9999% coupons to buy another candle to get another coupon to get another candle and so on and so forth.

I really miss those pyramid shaped candles with loot inside that were revealed as you melted them. Stones, gems, pendants. Malls sold them in the 90s.

I've seen these types things all over the place. I've seen then in soap, candle and other forms and they never sell. I just dont see these as a sustainable business model, since u can probably buy similar smelling candles for 1/3 of the cost at other places, and not care about the $1 u will probably win.

There's a place locally that sells candles that has jewelry and crap inside of them. Odds are you'll get a dumb ugly bracelet that ain't worth crap.

Edit: sorry for being a threadcrapper

I got a diamond in one back in the 90s. It was a "little princess" which is what jewelers call a tiny diamond or shard found in earrings and cheap department store jewelry. Still for a $15 pyramid candle it wasn't bad.

The guy has 100% positive feedback and a perfect history of paying loans back. I don't see any indication that he wouldn't pay Boss, or anyone else back.

And completely free of charge, but you just have to wait a year or two.

All I can say is that I loaned him the most I've ever loaned someone on here, and he paid it back in full a few days early.

You may want to correct typos in your campaign. It helps people to not think they are getting scammed.

A handful of things to everyone:

A) I have been a legitimate member of GTZ for over 11 years. I don't scam anyone, review my feedback. A GOLD STAR TRADER AND GTZ SUBSCRIBER OF 11+ YEARS WITH 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK

B) Any and All money loans I have ever taken out I have paid back on time or early. Please review my recent trades. I am financially responsible and my feedback also shows that. A GOLD STAR TRADER AND GTZ SUBSCRIBER OF 11+ YEARS WITH 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK

C) We have sample sizes available for $5 (NO CASH PRIZE INCLUDED), and 50 prototypes currently available for $25 (as previously stated) 10 of each flavor and sample available.

D) Maximum cash prize we are offering in the prototypes right now that we have made is $200.

E) Kickstarter is NOT live yet because we are waiting for certain approvals from kickstarter to prove we are not a gambling entity (which has been a process). Additionally, we know of the typos/ information questions. Thank you all for bringing those up. We are handling all of that. We anticipate it to be live by next week as of this post.

F) No official odds are being published yet because again.... prototype. We are still trying to work that part out. Suggestions are of course welcomed for now.

G) No money will be burned, promise. Youll see why if you buy one. All cash prizes of $600 and above have a code instead of cash, and you will have to contact us with it, as we have to issue a W-2G or 1099 to you (depending on what you want).

H) Any prototype orders are available NOW, so if you want to order one, just message me and we will pend a trade and work details out individually. We have them ready to go, and I figured I'd extend an interest offer to GTZ'ers first.

I) All prototypes there is a 100% chance of cash (again, samples contain no cash prize). 1 candle has $200, 2 candles $100, 2 candles $50, 5 have $20, 5 have $10, 5 have $5, 30 have $1. We also had another friend mix up the packages and insert them into them, so we have no idea who is getting what.

Thanks,

Right, since 3 states say we would have to issue it (it would be a zero bet with $X,XXX win)- Montana, Minnesota, North Dakota require this- so they wouldnt have a choice, to clarify.

I got my aunt and mom jewelry candles off one of the Groupon clones at Christmas a few years back. Eventually, the candle burns down to where the jewelry is in a little fireproof pouch. They just got junk jewelry but thought they were fun. You of course have a chance to get a diamond or gold.

What could you put in these to make them fun for kids? Lego minifigures? Amazon gift card codes? $1 to $500 Amazon or Gamestop gift card codes seem like they would give you less of a headache with gambling laws than cash.

We didn't think about that- but that is a great idea, but the problems with gift cards are the size of the actual card compared to the size of the candle. We thought about doing gift cards or small toys, but then we thought choking hazards with the growing stupidity of the upcoming generation. We might re-visit the idea of gift cards or give people an option, but theres logistics involved in that we haven't visited yet but we might soon.

Thanks!

Hey darkslime,

I paid my venmo loan off IN FULL today, 2 weeks earlier than promised, to prove a point to flamers like you that I firmly believe in our community, our reputation system, and PEOPLE.

Confirmed got paid back loan early.

My 2 cents, I don't usually give out loans randomly. It's only given to traders I have traded with. In this case we had 2 completed trades (now 3).

yes Either way good luck with the candles.
