I definitely plan to revisit this on the PS5. I already was planning on it (GoW is one of my all time favorites) but this is exciting.

This is one of my all-time fav games. I played it on PS4 Pro at launch, and again recently on a slim, and still had a blast. Down the road I will definitely give this another spin and 4k/60 is awesome to hear.

Yeah the funny thing is I started playing it two weeks ago and didn't know it was due for an update. I'd been alternating between 1080p/60fps and the 4K/30(?)fps. It's nice to have the best of both worlds.

Nice! Now should I leave this in my backlog until I get a PS5 or just play it on my PS4 Pro now?

It's a great game regardless, it's not like it ran poorly before this update, it just runs better. The first boss fight is one of the best I've ever encountered and it's a great story so far with a vast amount of things to do.

Looks like I should probably give this another try.

Seriously, this game is maybe one of the best of all time IMO, certainly it is for me. Amazing.

Excited!! I never finished the game and I may only be 2 hours in so now I need to load this up again.

I wonder if I should just save my playthrough of this for when I get a PS5 now. I know it'll still be a great game on a PS4 base model, but I bought this damn 4K TV back in 2017 and I've yet to be able to play a game on it in 4K because I never upgraded to a PS4 Pro.

I just replayed it on a ps4 slim and it's still fantastic. Plus it's like $10 used now so there's no reason not to jump in now. I full expect to play it a 3rd time a year from now when I get a PS5.

I just reached the end credits, I really enjoyed the game but I only completed like 40 percent of what the world has to offer, so there's more fun to be had.

I'm not sure if it's an indictment of what PS5 has put out so far or how great this game looked when it came out in 2018, but it's one of the most visually appealing things I've played on PS5 so far. Not across the board necessarily, but the character models are pretty awesome.

I have it loaded and ready, I am honestly still in awe on how Ghosts of Toshima (sp?) Played and looks. Absolutely amazing.

I ended up somewhere around 96% on God of War. Fantastic game. Gorgeous. Knowing I have games like GOW and Horizon in my library makes me have no desire to upgrade to the new systems. The PS4 is a powerhouse with powerhouse games.

I agree that there is not much need to upgrade just yet... I kinda regret the Series X right now, but I can't really build a PC right now due to lack of video cards so I will hold onto it... But there is a real lack of first party next gen right now on both. It's almost like they could have waited a year before launching.

I have not played anything on the SX that is not an upgrade of an existing game, but has allowed me to play some stuff I missed on... Or atleast affords me the opportunity... Same with the PS5... Except God Fall and Destruction All-Stars, waiting to play MM and the upgraded Spidey game. But I find myself going back to my backlog of games.

My bio has my backlog for PS4/PS5 and Switch. It's huge. But I recently started playing games again more frequently (2-3 hours a day, every day) after not playing regularly as all for a couple of years.

I didn't notice it, but I also spent forever in Act I grinding on stuff.

Yeah, I think I did a little too much during Act 1 as I didn't know how the story would play out, and how many Acts there would be. In Act 2 I focussed more on the story missions and it went by pretty quick actually.

The difficulty gets greater but if you grind a little bit to get the max amount of throwables, upgrade your armor, and find more Focus, things are definitely easier. The game prefers you do secondary activities so if you're just focussing on the main story line I can see it getting much more difficult.

Yeah, I think you are both right. I hardly did any side quests at all, should probably go try that out.
