I just had my second 1X lose its video output and again it's just outside the one year warranty (Feb 15). Totally ridiculous!

You bought 2 X1X's new and both failed within a year? That's not normal at all.

If you boot up in debug/low res mode does it work? Have they both been on the same tv?

Had 2 4K HDMI cables go bad using the 1X. I had two Systems until trading the older one in recently for the $225 at GameStop. I find that the 1X doesn't really turn off and the cable and possible system stays warm. I made sure to total power the system down, I think it likes to keep communicating and also stay in a ready mode. just not good for either. My PS4 Pro when I would leave it in Rest mode to charge what ever 2nd controller between plays never gave this issue. Once I noticed the warmth on the 1Xs I made sure to complete power down and never lost another 4K cable. Also the way mine was run it was the 25ft ones so it was annoying. Make sure its not your cable etc and I would power down completely.

I had hoped it was the cable and plugged it into my PS4 Pro and it worked fine so it's the system again. I actually had turned off the quick boot on the new system but I must have manually turned off the system by pressing the button on the console last time I used it and I think that put it into sleep mode instead of turning it all the way off.
