Nope. I was able to access them at 11:15 pm Central Time.

I haven't played it on 8Dx yet, but I believe it was on MK Tour.

It was in MK Tour.

You probably mean Mushroom Gorge. I was really good on that track in the Wii game but for some reason not quite as good in the Mario Kart 7 version.

19-Mar(#13)Me and the family played through the new MK8 tracks last night. I actually enjoyed them much more than I thought I would, despite them all being pretty easy. Choco Mountain was my favorite, it was so cool driving through a remake of that N64 track, what an upgrade! Ninja Hideaway was probably my next favorite, I liked all of the different routes you could take, and driving across those roofs was pretty cool. I really liked how the routes changed from lap to lap in Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur, that made those tracks way more interesting than I expected. Coconut Mall is still fine. Sky Garden was the biggest disappointment. It looks incredible, but it's an extremely basic track with nothing realy going for it. Toad Circuit is basically another Mario Kart Stadium, one of my least favorite tracks in the game due to it being so basic. Toad Circuit may be even worse though. Finally, Shroom Ridge. I've always hated tracks that have vehicles driving around on the track, so I'm not thrilled that this Wave added another one to the game.
Hopefully, the overall difficulty is going to increase with each Wave. The cups usually get harder as you go in a MK game, except for the previous MK DLC where each cup actually had a mix of difficulty. I figured this new DLC was going to be the same, each having some easy tracks and some harder tracks. But since these first two cups are so easy, maybe each Wave WILL get harder and harder.

I like that too, it reminds me of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed, except in that game every track did that.
> Coconut Mall is still fine.
I don't know that I like it as much anymore. Didn't those two cars at the end before the finish line move back and forth in the Wii and 3DS versions? It seems like they just stay still now. That whole section of the track looks empty now without all the Miis on the sidelines, but that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I don't really mind the vehicles on the road, but this track just flat out sucks. It's probably one of the least memorable tracks from Mario Kart DS too.
I think most of all I'm just surprised that they didn't add any anti-gravity stuff to these tracks. A lot of people seem disappointed in that. I wouldn't exactly say I was disappointed, just that it happened to be one of the first things I noticed when playing through them. But if they couldn't find a good way to include it then I guess it was better to exclude it than force it.

You're right about those cars not moving anymore. I was wondering why they were just parked there. I really like this course just because of all the jumping opportunities.

So, not by common name, they finally created folders?

Do you not think that was a legitimate criticism?

I do think it's something they should have already implemented long ago. But, I don't think it's nearly useful enough of a feature to warrant the amount of complaining people did over it.

I have at least 30 myself and have never had a problem quickly getting to the game I want. All you have to do is press left on the Home screen, then click on All Software, boom, they're all right there. Then once you play it, it's going to show up on your home screen as one of your recent games. Unless you switch back and forth between 10+ games very regularly, anything you're currently playing should be in your recent games right there on your Home screen. So it's basically just a matter of finding something in All Software the first time you want to play it (or if you start playing it again after a while).

Maybe I'm easy to please, maybe I'm a shill, but I find the majority of video game outcry is bogus or nitpicky. I pretty much only care about three things:
1. Is the game playable?
2. Is the game fun?
And to a lesser extent...
3. Does the game require a massive download to achieve 1 & 2?

Yeah I'm pretty easy to please too. I mostly just care about playing good games, which Nintendo typically delivers on. Their online features/performance are definitely something that deserve nitpicking, and they need to get better in that area. But being able to group your games into folders, just to satisfy your personal preference on organization? Nah...
longhornsk57

22-Mar(#33)To each their own I guess.
Having regular folders would be an awesome feature that saves time and helps organize both on PS5 and Switch for me.
I'm not going to rant and rave and go all woke gamer about it, I'm just saying for some of us it's a more important feature.
Bleed_DukeBlue

* 22-Mar(#34)It's cool if you don't care about folders, but I've found them really useful. It's the one thing I don't like about the PS5 UI. With my PS4, I kept all of my physical games separate from my digital games (so I would know immediately which ones I could jump to without changing discs) and kept my VR games separated from everything else (partially to make it easier to jump between VR games and partially to remember when a game had a VR and non-VR version to play the VR version). It was also helpful to be able to separate out PS+ games from ones I actually owned to remember to play them before my subscription ran out. I'll use them on my Switch too to keep my physical and digital games apart. It's definitely more than cosmetic for me. I value organizational tools.

I would have less use for folders if cartridge based games didn't stay on the menu when the cartridge isn't in the system. (This is an intentional inconvenience to encourage people to stop buying physical and go all digital because it's more profitable. They do it on PS4 as well)
Two folders is all I need: Download games, and physical games.

I never really thought of that before, but yeah, it would be great if cartridge based games didn't stay on there when not in the system

The first thing I did after the update was create those two folders. I also made one for retro games like the Contra, Castlevania, and Namco collections. I also made one for puzzle games for when I'm in the mood. I may make one for rhythm games as well.
KCPenguins

22-Mar(#44)Just played around with groups. They'd be fine IF they let you hit L to access them from the home menu, or if the home menu displayed groups. As it stands now I'll only use them to see what I'll need to delete next to make room. This honestly feels like there will be an update later to add one of these options.

I mean I get it, we all get tired of "gamers" raging about the dumbest stuff. When TLoU2 came out all I saw was garbage from users and "journalists" and it's like either play the game or don't. Same with cyberpunk etc.
The folder thing I get why some people don't care and I've gotten used to not having it on switch and PS5 and Xbox Series X. But I'm sure there's some idiots out there making a bigger deal about it than it really just being a minor inconvenience.
Bleed_DukeBlue

23-Mar(#50)No worries. It's all good.

24-Mar(#51)I came to talk crap about Nintendo finally having folders until I realized MS doesn't have them. But their full-screen tile system makes it easier to view your library vs. the simple horizontal layout Nintendo uses. I love folders on PS4.

Love it, hoping to get in some co-op sessions with benstylus and have it featured at OMG!Con. Of course, the only thing HAL could do at this point to make me not love them anymore would be to make a sequel to Metal Slader Glory (or something trashier).

Not really. It doesn't show off the stage variety. And there are a lot of Treasure Road challenges, which have you using the different abilities to earn rare stars. (Needed to upgrade the copy abilities.) There's a town where mini games unlock, such as fishing and the arena.
ErickRPG

28-Mar(#65)yeah it's pretty good. Not the best platformer ever but very cute, colorful, and fun. A good romp.
I'm pretty excited about Star Wars Skywalker Saga right now, game looks so funny and really well done. I am just waiting to see how much of a downgrade the switch version is.

28-Mar(#67)Kirby is really charming but if you're on the fence I say wait. I expect it to drop in value (used) after some time. There is some replay-ability but it's so easy to just to plow through the game I think many people will just move on.
It looks like there are maybe 7 lands (with several levels in each) and my son got into land 6 in 2 days (only playing a few hours a day). This included replaying some stages, doing some of the challenge stuff, powering up a bunch of hats(?)/powers, and having me do some co-op with him.
It's an extremely well done game, it's just so painfully easy and linear that I don't see us going back to it more than once a year.
