Did Dragon Quest Builders 2 with a cloud download icon appear on anyone else's home screen out of nowhere? I hadn't used my Switch in a while but turned it on last night to play some Splatoon 2 and found it.

If I clicked on it, I had the option to go to the eShop or cancel. I went to the eShop on both my account and my daughter's, and it was trying to sell it to both of us, so it doesn't seem to be a fraudulent purchase or anything, and my eShop credit appears to be intact.

I am tempted to just delete it, but I would like to understand where it came from first. It reminds me of the automated "gifts" on the 3DS when a new demo or something would come out, but I have not seen that on the Switch.

They did it on 3DS and I believe even on Wii U so it wouldn't surprise me if they started it on Switch, but this is the first I'm hearing about it.

Crap. I tried buying it digitally but the e-shop was down. Went about my day and saw it was $25 in store at Walmart so I picked it up. After playing it for 30 minutes I wished I had gotten it digitally. This is the best DBZ fighting game I've played since the SNES ones.

I figured it out. I had proactively grabbed some free DLC a few days ago and had forgotten completely about it. Crisis averted!

Maybe that's part of Ninty's strategy for appealing to the new Chinese market. Probably also why they just announced a Rabbids Chinese themed party game exclusive to China.

Damn, I'm having a hard time putting Dragonball Fighter Z down. Had I known I'd have this much fun I'd have bought it at launch. Captured the characters and feel of DBZ very well despite limiting the stage size. Definately glad the DLC so far is rather meh, as they gash the heck out of players. Just started the second arc.

Fighter Z is a love letter to the fans who wanted a true 2D Street Fighter/MVC experience and it was pretty damn on point. It gets a bit repetitive later on but it's still fun. A good pick up and play fighting game.

Looks like the sales are over, but I didn't check the e-shop just N's website. Wal-Mart jumped to $40 on the physical.

Couple things

1. Bought a game called One Strike. Ridiculously simple game (Each match ends when you strike an opponent once, duh) but I can't stop coming back to it. Was also less than a dollar when I purchased it, I think it's still on sale.

2. Downloaded the Super Mega Baseball 2 demo and that game is a blast. Will probably by the full copy here soon. Anyone have the full version and can provide opinions?

3. Is there a way to transfer saved items between two SD Cards? I have a full 64 gig in the system and have a 128 gig incoming and want to transfer all the stuff over from the 64.

4. For that matter, if I sold a 64 gig card with a couple games on it, would someone else be able to use that card or are those games attached to my Nintendo account?

No. They protect against this. It can't be used on a new system without re-formatting it.

I ordered the Switch lite via Bestbuy and paid with Paypal not realizing they would charge me right away. I'm thinking about canceling and re-ordering with a CC. Does anyone know how long it takes BB to issue the refund of a preorder? The interwebs make it sound like BB is notorious for fubaring PP refunds.

Most of the fault's in Paypal's court. Charges take 3-5 days to ACTUALLY "process" on their back-end, both ways, so it could take the equivalent of weeks. Paypal refunds suck. I've had a refund pend to a buyer for well over a week.

That's kind of what I figured. I'm not going to sweat a week or two for that matter. But if it's some crap where I have to call and bug them all the time, I'll just let it ride.

Honestly it doesn't matter how ragey you get, unfortunately, it only moves as fast as it moves. I think if they get enough doging calls about Paypal they're just gonna pull it from payment methods altogether.

can't wait to get the new switch. None yet at amazon or best buy. While the switch lite is neat because it's smaller and will feel new/different. I can't overlook the 2+ hours of extra game time.

You just drag the contents over to a pc, then drag them over to the new sd card. Saves are stored in system memory.

same chip, but smaller battery for the lite. Which means only slightly better battery life, but quicker recharge I would hope/expect.
TalonJedi87

7-Aug(#39)
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, a quicker recharge would offset the smaller battery on the lite. The current Switch does charge a bit too slow for my tastes.
ErickRPG
GameTZ Subscriber Triple Gold Good Trader Global Trader - willing to trade internationally
7-Aug(#40)
the new switch will charge just as slow but it will take 35% longer to reach 50% from 100% so. More game time per minute of charge. Both are improvements. I haven't decided which yet. I mean I like smaller form, but no rumble? eh.

Yeah it's a tough choice. I guess it's all dependent upon if ya really play handheld more or docked more. For me I miss the Ninty made dpad and I know that ya can buy custom dpads but it's not the same to me as a traditional Nintendo forged dpad.

I'm leaning toward a Turqoise Lite. Because changing it up with a smaller form factor is a nice change of pace. I think the smaller might be more comfortable. Hopefully a week before release they'll have a true battery time and recharge video. I wanna see just how much faster it charges. Because A lot of times I'll play to 80% and just wait for it to charge back up above 90%.

Did you watch the video? The joystick itself is as at fault for causing drift as the antenna. If they use the same sticks for the Lite, it could still drift on you.... it's just that you won't be able to switch them out or replace them as easily.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil released today in the eShop. Oddly they removed the online multiplayer mode that the PC and Xbox One versions have (there's no local multiplayer either).

The multiplayer in the Turok series back in the day was never even close to the top tier multiplayer fps games on Nintendo 64, (imo), but I don't like that they're charging the same price for the Switch version but giving less content.

Calendar says 8/16 for Grandia collection, which is Friday I believe.

And I keep refreshing Amazon and BB every other day for the Switch revisions. Articles said 8/15 they should start hitting major retailers, but it is likely retail outlets like Amazon, BB, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. want to burn thru old inventory before listing the new hardware, so I believe sometime in September is when we'll see SKU's available for the revision and it's only a couple of weeks away, which somewhat saddens me as that means summer is winding down :(
