Yeah, I've played it for about 3 hours. Really enjoying it so far. It's a blend of a lot of different genres, but it all works really well. It's also quite challenging. I'll definitely be playing a lot of it this weekend.

I did, it doesn't look bad. It's just a game I don't mind picking up some day when it's $20.

I've done 15 of the 17 floors I can see on the map and expect to beat it this weekend. It's polished and well done but generally very same-y throughout and has very little replayability. Each floor is a new theme but the gameplay doesn't change. If I was playing this by myself I'm not so sure I would have stuck with it this long. But playing co-op with my 6-yr old it's been quite fun and he loves it. I think part of that is because player 2 (who has less health) can die and just immediately respawn. So although I'm doing most of the work he feels like he's contributing.

The controls, while acceptable, are consistently frustrating though. I don't know how to explain it other than 90% of the game is holding down the suck button and just moving the thumbsticks around hoping for the best.

I am enjoying my time with LM3 but to echo above, the replay value is very low. Once I beat the game, I don't see a reason to go back and play it again (maybe this will change if a new mode is introduced once beating it, but doubt it).

Also, I agree about the controls being an issue. Not being able to change the invert look and overall feel, just seems a bit off. I am starting to get the hang of the controls but it still seems off.

The online mode does add a bit of fun and replay value but not enough to keep the game past beating the single player.

Overall, I am enjoying it and would recommend it as it has an old-school Nintendo 64 feel to it, but with the low replay value, I would recommend getting it on-sale and then trading/selling it for another game.

Pokemon Sword/Shield have 3.2 and 3.3 user scores on Metacritic. People are being ridiculous over this. It's a shame they have to ruin the scores because they want to be babies over something. I mean sure, if you really dislike what they did, take a point or two off, but it's obviously not a 3.2 game.

I thought the games only had a few previous Pokemon in them and then the new ones. I was unaware the games contained all from previous games. I haven't played since blue/yellow so I might pick this up at some point.

The multiplayer mode is definitely a YMMV situation.
Unfortunately that's the only part of the game they're adding DLC to. I haven't played the online multiplayer in LM3 yet, but I played it in the 3DS game with friends on and off for a couple of years even after beating the story mode. It's fun in short bursts.

No one hates Pokémon game as much as people who buy Pokémon games, seems like they're always complaining about something.

I've played beat, and got all 1000 achievements for Earthlock. It was okay, the Switch version fixes a lot of the issues the game had like the absolutely insane difficulty spikes which had you crazy OP until you got to a boss who would kill your whole team in 1 turn. I would say its worth $6. Pretty simplistic but overall an enjoyable game.

I went ahead and bought it. I don't expect it to be on par with Final Fantasy 7 or anything. Just one of those games I was eyeing for the right price.

So I "beat" Bloodstained with the worst ending, and boy that was a terrible ending. Continued on to get the next ending and holy hell, ran into a boss that is kicking my ass. 2 Bosses so far that were really tough on normal. I'm at 40% on the map. I really hope they can fix the major issues cause this game is pretty fricken awesome.

I will note on PS4, playing on Pro was where I saw no issues, but I heard from slim/OG lots of random crashes. Could be similar on Xbox platform. PC was flawless, can't remember a single crash.

Soon as I heard Switch version had performance issues I wrote that one off, lol. Not even going to entertain the thought of picking it up.

I got to the final FINAL boss in Bloodstained and got smoked so I'm taking a break. I think some of the issues are exaggerated.... looks a bit worse and unpolished, but definitely playable.

I played Hellblade on GP and still felt like I paid too much. The game is very good from a technical perspective but it was boring AF and I can't say I enjoyed playing the game at any point in time. There are users on here who enjoyed the game quite a bit, so its one of those things where you either like the game or you hate it. So if you enjoy walking sims where you solve the same puzzle over and over again mixed with very repetitive fighting mechanics with lots of story then you should enjoy this game too. Its on the short side, maybe around 6-8 hours and you'll probably never want to play it again after you beat it.

I missed a single collectible half way through the game and replayed it again up until that point just to get the last achievement point and it was horrible, way worse than the first playthrough. No stoppable cutscenes either. It was brutal.

I should have added a question, what are y'all most hoping for at this point? Mine is still the same as the last time I posted it in September, except I removed SNES Online, and added 2 ports.

1) Mario Kart 9
2) 2D Zelda - I know we just got the LA remake, but I want something new. Not a remake, not even a re-imagining. I want a brand new 2D Zelda game with no (stupid) gimmicks.
3) Donkey Kong Country 4 - More like the original trilogy, not Returns/Tropical Freeze. I know this is incredibly unlikely, but it's staying on my list anyway.
4) 2D Mario - something new that breaks free from the tired NSMB formula. A 2D Odyssey with Cappy could be great!
5) 3D Mario - either 3D World 2, Galaxy 3, or Odyssey 2.
6) F-Zero
7) Metroid Prime Trilogy
8) DS/3DS Player - something like the GBA Player, but for DS and 3DS games. Not exactly sure how this would work, maybe some add-on to the dock that could communicate with the Switch wirelessly, so the Switch itself would be the controller and bottom screen, and the add-on would display the top screen on the tv. It's not perfect, but I think it could work, and it would be great to be able to play ALL handheld Nintendo games on a TV.
9) Ports of Super Mario 3D World and Yoshi's Woolly World. Then I would have no need to ever return to the Wii U.

My 2020 and beyond Ninty Switch wish list of unannounced games would look something like this...

1) F-Zero (for the love of Buddha, just give us something! The SNES Switch online port isn't enough.)
2) Super Mario Sunshine 2 or Super Mario Galaxy 3
3) Metroid Prime Trilogy
4) N64 and Gamecube games on Switch Online
5) A traditional 2D Donkey Kong Country style game
6) Diddy Kong Racing remake or sequel (with Banjo characters licensed from MS)
7) A traditional 2D Metroid sidescrolling game
8) Earthbound remake or sequel

And I just realized out of my greedy list I might just get 1 thing if I'm lucky...maybe. Heh.

1. 2D Mario in the SMW style. This will never leave my list, but I feel like Mario Maker gets rid of this possibility.
2. Legit, new Star Wars game in the vein of Fallen Order and not just a licensed pinball game.
3. More straight forward 3D Mario game similar to Mario 64. I thought I wanted an open world Mario game but I was slightly disappointed with Odyssey so I want something a little more back to basics. Give me the Mushroom Kingdom again.
4. Fire Pro Wrestling with the ability to download fan-created wrestlers like the PC and PS versions to make a stacked roster.
5. Super Punch-Out. We got Arms but it's not the same deal.

Could probably come up with more but that's the top of my head.

Smart. I did this somewhat but then I've been on a Nintendo Switch roll. I bought Pokemon even though I'm still on Witcher III. I need help from people with experience using both a regular Switch and a Switch Lite. My kids are both getting a Lite for Christmas from one of their grandparents. I'm wondering how difficult it would be for them to play some/most of their games on their Switch Lite, but then still play some games on the regular Switch so they can play on the tv. First off, is this even possible, or do you have to transfer ALL of your saves every time? If it is possible, how complicated is it, and how long does it take? Is it something an 8 and 10 year old could do on their own, or are they going to need my help every time?

KCPenguins

Doesn't it just require a WiFi connection and the default system to not be playing it at that time? That was my understanding. If you're wanting to transfer saves back and forth I believe you need to download cloud saves.
loztdogs

You need cloud saves and it takes a min or two to update the device with the latest save state if I'm remembering correctly. I think an 8/10 year old could manage it in their own for sure. Especially if they have always been around this kind of tech before.

I have it, not much. I HATE decal sort of decorations and it doesn't bother me. The system is a medium grey and the legendary outlines are a lighter grey. So they don't stand out too much, and still retain it's classy look. The blue and pink buttons are awesome though. I love the overall colors of the system.

Please, help me settle an argument. Some dude was blaming Nintendo for not releasing the physical version of a video game that Nintendo doesn't even publish. I thought this was stupid, but my wife argued that we (you, me, etc.) know about this stuff because we follow gaming. The average gamer doesn't know that and assumes all games on Nintendo Switch are made by Nintendo. I initially disagreed, but then it had me thinking. Do you think something like 3rd party developers/publishers is common knowledge?

To the layman, no. They assume everything comes out on whatever they're using, and if they didn't it's the console manufacturer's fault.

And I mean, it's not like they're 100% WRONG...

I imagine the casual gamer just doesn't care about that sort of thing and assume that if they get, say, "Witcher 3" on Switch, then it's a Nintendo game. Depends on what console they have and how much they actually pay attention. I feel like most folks who play video games just don't care and thus are oblivious to any of that sort of thing.

Do they think all iPhone apps are made by Apple? Do they think all Windows computers are made by Microsoft?

I think it mostly depends on age and experience. If you have been alive for more than 13-15 years, I think it's reasonably to assume they should know or at least have heard of other companies making products for a game system.

It was either Stardew Valley or Cuphead.
