Happy New Year, everyone! Welcome to Year 4 of the GameTZ Fantasy Gaming League. This is basically fantasy football with games. Each person picks 10 games and those 10 games make up your "team" for the year. The Metacritic scores for your 10 games are tallied up at the end of the year to determine your total. Highest overall score wins. You also get 2 alternate picks (these should be safe choices) just in case one of your picks gets delayed into 2022. So if you shoot for the moon with a game like The Elder Scrolls VI and it gets pushed into 2022, one of your alternates takes its place and you don't end up with 0 points for that game. The goal is to pick games that you think have a very good chance of releasing in 2021.
The Rules: 1. No DLC or Expansions 2. No Ports or Remasters (full remakes are allowed) 3. Alternate picks can only replace games delayed into 2022. They cannot be used to replace games in your top 10 that review poorly.
The Prize: 1st Place: A $50 Amazon Gift Card

Awesome. I have that game next on my list to play. I'm getting good scores on the games I picked, but I'm probably sunk since at least 3 of my picks aren't coming out this year (Overwatch II, Gotham Knights, and the sequel to God of War.)
This is probably the game I'm looking forward to the most right now. I love Larian's stuff, and I've always been a big fan of Baldur's Gate II and games like it. I bought BG III right away, but I haven't played it yet, because I want to wait until it's complete.
> Looks like Baldur's Gate III won't be releasing until 2022. Another one to add to
> the list of games that will be on all our lists next year.
Yeah, a lot of stuff is still getting pushed back to next year. Wasn't surprising that Ghostwire would feel the burn of a delay at this point. Not many months left in 2021 and E3 passed so now it's just a few stragglers left to fill up some fall slots I'd imagine.
I knew HZD wasn't coming out in 2021. That was a pure wet pipe dream for Sony. Now on the other hand if no more further delays on games 2022 will look OD Brolic with heavy hitters like HZD, God of War 5 and Elden Ring not to mention others like that new Suicide Squad game, Gotham Knights, Starfield, A Plague Tale 2, BOTW 2, Outer Worlds 2, Mario+Rabbids 2, and more I know I'm missing.
I was watching the DF tech review of The Ascent and it's crazy if you try to play it on a last gen piece of hardware base or upgraded the load times for last gen were about 3 minutes to load into each section whereas current gen hardware was like 18 seconds max. They were able to finish almost 3 levels in Sonic the Hedgehog on the Master System before it loaded into the game from last gen hardware.
