I know we've had this topic before, but I always like them, and the OST topic had me wanting another one.

Mine was a cart only copy of Clayfighter 63 1/3: Sculptor's Cut for $250.

$60. I don't think I've ever gone above that for anything other than a limited edition.

I removed that. I realized that relegates it to collecting only. I'd rather this be inclusive.

It was a Virtual Boy game- IIRC, it was Virtual Bowling. All I'll say is that it wasn't cheap...

For a video game, probably about $100. I think the last time I spent that was for a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga that I found locally and sold at cost to a friend in Texas. That was maybe 5 years ago.

Board games? Well, once you include expansions I'm sure I've quite exceeded that.

Best not to think about it. I'm pretty into Scythe and have everything. It adds up but at least the cost was fragmented.

My longest gaming session ever was for Quest 64. I played it for 25 hours straight until I beat it. I don't exactly remember loving the game too much. This was after Ocarina of Time and I guess I just wanted another big adventure like that. So I played it nonstop for a full day and then it was over lol.

$250 for Rock Band 4 on Xbox One. I also bought the old ones on 360 but I don't have those anymore. It's going to be my last Rock Band purchase unless they do music I REALLY want to play. I also probably spent around a couple grand on DLC over time since it launched in 2007. Good thing the vast majority of DLC came over to Xbox One so I could play some of it on and off for a few months then never touch it again.

The most I've spent on a video game was probably $200ish, but I don't remember for sure. I've owned complete copies of Earthbound and Chrono Trigger, but most of those higher dollar games came via trades. I'm at the point now where I've sold most of my games priced over $50...so that's probably my limit going forward. If we can include pinball then my number goes up to $6,000.

Can't recall anything more expensive than the $100 I spent on Division 2 Ultimate Edition pre-order. I got the first game bundled with my console purchase and loved and played it a TON, so I wanted to support the devs. I certainly haven't come close to enjoying nor playing the sequel like I played the first one. Holding out hope that I'll enjoy it more in the future since I didn't jump all over the first 1 until over a year later, after it had been improved a lot.

To the best of my knowledge, I've never paid above retail. I remember N64 games got pretty pricey, so my most expensive game was probably one from that period. I rarely do special/collector's editions, and if I do, I'm only willing to go $10 above the base price.

I thought the most expensive N64 games were around $60 but my memory on this isn't the best. I remember really wanting No Mercy at $60 but not being able to afford it until later. I feel like a lot of games were $35-50 and I paid $40 at launch for several N64 games. Of course given how far back this was there could have very easily been different prices in different regions.

I do remember a few SNES and Genesis games being completely outrageous though. Phantasy Star IV, Earthbound etc...

Me and my brother were big on Goldeneye, and I remember getting The World is Not Enough on the 64 for $70 when it was fairly new... needless to say, not a great choice.

The most I've spent on a single game was the DJMax Portable Prestige Edition for $150+, but that was mostly for the soundtrack, which I also mentioned in the OST thread. If you count DLC, I've spent over $100 on DJMax Respect.

Without any extra factors though, I basically top out at around $100 for a single game.

Persona 5: Take Your Heart Edition, I pre ordered and paid in increments, though.

For a used game, I think it was paying $60 for Persona 2: Eternal Punishment probably 9 years ago. I was 17, hyped off of finishing Persona 3 FES...and it was such a jarring difference that I never beat it. To be fair to younger me, I tried again with a digital copy recently, and that game just isn't my jam.

Both were permabanned. I joined right around the time the Anti thing was going on. For some reason, I thought Bill sided with him, therefore I figured he was not in the wrong, and also liked him. Way later, after he was banned, I found out it was more a technicality. Something like the buyer wouldn't tell him what he needed to do to fix the BTR, which is a requirement. The buyer instead just left the site, so Anti got to stay.

Account shows up as abandoned so I don't think he was banned. Dave otoh who I know was banned has his account tagged with "abuse". I'm honestly not a fan of banning people that are good traders but I can see how Bill got quite sick of it.

Edit: Or I could be remembering wrong on anti. Maybe old banned accounts just mostly show up simply as abandoned anyway.

Visc and DaveSGE were tied for the worst people I've ever seen here and I'm glad they're both gone.

I never saw that stuff with Anti though, so this is all new to me. Not sure how I missed it.

Dave has never been wrong once in his life (in his own mind).

I don't remember the visc stuff at all, and he was last on in 2014 so that kind of surprises me. It's possible that was a period where I wasn't reading the forums much.

Most of the drama around Anti was contained to Site Feedback. And a little in General. The ME CE issue, and his massive issue with the scoring system.

I remember Dave made a thread about how he was sorry for being such a douche and said it was because he survived cancer and wanted sympathy for it. Then less than a week later was back to his douchy ways.

I don't remember a ton with Visc other than he seemed to have severe anger problems and held extreme hatred towards alot of people. I'm pretty sure he was mentally unstable.

So visc's profile is overall hilarious but this might be the best part

5. I will under no circumstances, ever, accept subtime in a transaction. I don't want that waste of money, and frankly, Bill doesn't deserve the help.

I forgot about DaveSGE. He was the dude that tried to rile up the Sony vs Microsoft debates all the time. That was like 80% of his posts on this site.

Yeah that was him. He caused like 3 different Xbox One threads to be shut down because his ridiculous trolling. I think he was causing a bunch of trouble in the NFL threads too.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it shows as abandoned now, but I searched through some old PMs and threads and he was definitely banned.

We need a thread in General dedicated to talking about past members, and not just those who were banned.
