Not sure if 3DR was just the publisher or if anyone in the DN team actually took part in this, but it's using the Build engine so for all intents and purposes it feels just like DN3D, only a bit more kinetic and, if I may be so bold, the gunplay feels much, much better so far. They've also let the levels (almost) seamlessly transition, so what FEELS like a single level continuing on is actually two adjoined, which lets the game feel much grander in scale in comparison. Can't wait to go in deep.

Yeah it's a spiritual successor to Duke Nukem 3D with no barriers as far as level size or computing power. So they can stretch the build engine to it's extreme.

I was honestly hoping the ending would be as minimalist and cryptic as the rest of the game, and while I can't say it was, I'm still pretty pleased.

It's not that great. I was always super excited to try it out since the ads all had like, one second clips and it looked fast and fun, then I got the remaster and I was like "Oh. Oh, well this is actually pretty lame." Downsides of playing it after SMGalaxy; you get to see spherical world traversal done right before you get to see it done first.

NEW INTELLIVISION AMICO TRAILER. Are you guys hyped??

It's filler until 1:48 at which point you can see probably the world's least impressive hype reel, maybe for any home console ever. I think this might be historic.

I'm kinda more hyped about Retrocade. Because it's portable, and it has actual physical games. I'd be more into Amico if it had little $20 boxed carts like Retrocade did. With singular games, it should be more like $10.

Amico looks awful. 90% of what they showed was 3D versions of Intellivision games. I think Night Stalker is one of the best games ever, but why would I want to play it in cheap 3D?? The original games they showed looked like a Hot Wheels mobile game, a dumbed down 1v1 fighter, and overhead view racing game, super cheap genres and games that already exist. If Amico wants to go anywhere they need to focus on games that can only be played with it's stupid-looking controller. Adapting existing genres will make this thing Gizmondo 2, not that it already isn't.

Yeah he definitely did that music. He bought the Intellivision name, made a new company with his Video Games Live money, and is trying to do this thing. It looks like he grew up on Intv and it's a passion thing for him, even though the rest of the world moved on 40 years ago.

I just don't get how they think they're going to make it work. The "everyone is a gamer!" market is 100% saturated by phones and tablets because people already have them and 90% of the games are "free". None of those people are buying a separate home console to play their time wasters.

Okay, seriously, WTF is going on in this game? I take three steps, and then a monster kills me in two hits. Out of more than a half dozen fights, only one monster hasn't killed me instantly.

I don't think I can play it anyway. It looks like it only supports system saves.

Neutopia seems like a lot of fun, though. Not looking forward to spending ten minutes inputting those 16-character passwords, but I like it so far.

I'm no 32x promoter in general, but it's got a decent amount of games that I'd like to play. I mean, it is what it is, but there are some redeeming qualities, amirite??

Space Harrier (best version)
Mortal Kombat II (best version)
NBA Jam TE (I think the best version?)
Blackthorne (yeah, buooooy)
Star Wars Arcade
WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game
Knuckles Chaotix (decent)

They're supporting a physical 32X with its built in fancy complex proprietary processors, they didn't make their own fancy complex proprietary processors from scratch. THIS IS FINE, although still a colossal waste of time. Lmao at the price bump 32X hardware will see.

I heard Black Sabbath on the grocery store radio the other day. I want to go back in time and tell someone that in a few short years Black Sabbath is going to be grocery store music and people are going to be rioting in the streets for their 2019 future-consoles to support physical 32X hardware.

I don't think they spent a ton of development time supporting the 32X. I think they made a decent analog video encoder, and because of how the 32X works, it happened to be enough to support it.

Implementing the 32X in an FPGA - which hundreds of people seem to want or insist upon - would have been a ridiculous waste of resources, however.

That's in nice shape though. I could see that being in much higher demand than a loosey. The Cart v Complete ratio for harder to get games gets pretty astronomical.

I'm not saying he isn't gouging it for all he can, but I could see the cart being worth $10 loose and possibly even ten times that complete. Which that isn't.

It's the Japanese version. You got it backwards, it's a later run. They were forced to change it from Spartan X to Kung Fu, presumably due to losing the copyright.

Til 3am. So it turns out right before the battle with infinitely spawning invincible dudes we got the "wand of unlimited uses instantly kill an invincible dude". So that fight was basically pointless. The final boss also had less resistance and attack power than most minor bosses, just like 8 million HP.
