Summary

This game is a fun game to pick up and play for about 5 minutes, but is an incredible disappointment, even compared to the PSP port.

Description

This game is a fun game to just pick up and play, but it is just that. It just isn't good. It is pretty much a DS port of Burnout 3, another game in the series. Comparing it to its PSP port would be like comparing Pac-Man on the arcade to the Atari 2600 port.

Graphics and Sound:
These are lackluster at best. The graphics can be compared to that of an early release PSX or N64 game, but worse. They really just aren't great. The cars don't look like cars at all, they look like rectangular blocks. And as far as sound goes, I have no idea what happened. If you are driving a police car, literally all you can hear is an incredibly repetitive siren blaring over and over, which eventually starts to hurt your ears. The rest of the sounds are just general racing game sounds, just jumbled up and sound awful. The sound is not a feature of this game. I literally have to play it with sound off.

Gameplay:
The gameplay isn't even great overall. With the normal race and time trial modes, you can get your average racing game right there. However, there is also a great road rage mode which is my personal favorite. For some reason it is harder to get takedowns, which can ruin any fun in that. The "story mode" because I can't think of a better term is pretty tedious, and the only reason to do it is unlocking new cars as you go. It is incredibly easy though, which can become a bit of a bore. The local multiplayer is more of the same, except with friends. You can do many things in this game, but none of these things are actually fun.

Replay Value:
There are plenty of things to do in this game, but they all suck. This game is seriously a disappointment, and is one to avoid. I would not recommend this game at all.

Graphics suck ass, sound is awful, gameplay is wonked up, no reason to get this. Other than maybe for a kid, who might enjoy how easy it is.
