If he’s that disrespectful about his less-than-advertised lot, don’t bother. Spend that $1500 on something better from a nicer seller.

I’m visiting a friend right now, and he offered me his Wii collection. He no longer has a Wii and has moved on to PC gaming, so he has no further need for them.

He knows the value of Prime Trilogy, but he has no interest in selling it. I compensated him by covering the bill at a pricey sushi buffet. Dude rocks, what can I say? The bottom two boxes are missing disks. Prime Trilogy has a little rust, but nothing too bad.

Now I have to figure out how to get all this home in my tiny suitcase.

I did, “broken” in the box PS5’s CIB from a woman who doesn’t know much about them but showed me them on Facebook, she’s selling them for $250 a pop. From the sound of it they just need to be formatted, I bought two to start with and she’s already mailed them, I used a card with buyer protection just to be safe but this woman is very friendly to talk to on Facebook and likes to use the audio feature so I can hear her voice and she showed pictures the first time I asked no issues

Fun fact: Sushi in Japan is ultra cheap, a 2 for $14 pizza in Japan costs them $40.

We're getting the better deal--pizza's delicious, sushi's kinda average.

It's surprisingly not difficult to make your own sushi rolls. And once you can make them yourself, it's much more cost effective than buying it at a store. Plus, you can put inside whatever you want.

Oh yeah. I agree. Also, you can overbake pizza. With sushi, once you have the rice, there's not much to really mess up. Sure, you might get a roll that isn't consistent or isn't shaped perfectly, but not much in the department of one wrong move that would make/break it.

Bought a CECHA01 playstation 3, with a short drive, with controller, controller charging cable, power plug, and hdmi cable. 3 games, nba2k12, nba2k13, max payne 3, call of duty ghosts, call of duty black ops. No good games, but the ps3 is the prize. Price paid was $60 CAD. He mentioned it works, but I have still to try it. He did mention it makes a loud noise occasionally than it stops. If that's it, it's prob the fan. Will prob sell as is, but gotta try it out. Will do later.

Seems like a no brainer since just for parts. And that's the worst. If it works, which it should, got something else to list out.

Old thermal paste and dust. Just needs a good cleaning.

My PS3 Super Slim was like a jet engine until I opened it up, replaced the thermal paste and gave it a good cleaning. Now it runs silently.

Yeah, I have a ps3 super slim. And now this one. Will let people know if I decide to list it. Kinda nostalgic as it's the one I had, but I prob don't feel like a game. Have no good ones, and when I had the ps3, I played everything that caught my eye or seemed fun.

Thanks.

Just tried it, and works like a charm. From the pictures, it seemed like it was kinda dinged up. After a good wash, it's pretty good. Tried it on, works fine, no sounds. He said there was a loud sound but he got it under control. I will mention it, since he's the original owner, in case it starts up again, and inject the remedy for it thanks to Oduomega. Pretty neat, I always have a comfort zone with pc games, but yesterday, I was like there's always good deals for ps3 consoles. Nothing in the pc market. Well some, like kingpin North American edition in box for $30 CAD. But with shipping, it's $50. And only a uk copy sold for $45. Not sure I want to put down $50, and there's always the potential someone is doing something for a quick cash injection or something.

I just got an email telling me I won a cereal sweepstakes I entered on a whim. General Mills, specifically Monster Cereals, was doing a collaboration with some artist named KAWS. I entered a contest for figurines of the monster mascots when I bought a box of limited-edition Frute Brute in October, and I guess I won. I'll post the figures when they arrive in 8-10 business weeks.

Nice one. I won some star wars funko pop from landmark cinemas, prob shoulda kept them, but sold them as they took up too much space. But if you do take winning a prize as something you need, you have to find contest forums, check how often you enter, do runs, some forums mark by date, arrange by date, and enter them all. I don't do dailies anymore, don't want the effort. But in November, since December just started, I won:

$50 ubereats gift card from HiSense

4 Ottawa Senators tickets vs. San Jose from an Ottawa radio station, I'm in Toronto and the tickets are nosebleeds

Won a $200 gift card to GoodFood but turns out the contest was only for people from Quebec, woops, tried to argue my point, no cigar lol

Dermot Kennedy tickets for 2023 at the best stage to see a show in Toronto, Budweiser Stage from a local radio station

a sleep spray mist and traveller mug from Aramark

Not bad, but I expect December to be better, but my work ethic (being focused on computer time) is not there. We'll see. Christmas contests are a hit or miss. Hope I get the hit part.

KAWS is arguably one of the top 5 “mainstream” underground artists in the world (it’s like Banksy, Jeff Koons and then him). He’s big on the colabs - Uniqlo, MTV, etc.

assuming what you won are limited prize pieces those are going to be worth a pretty penny. Nice score

On paper that’s probably a fair trade … it comes down to how much you want to have a VB. They’re solid collectors pieces … but don’t make for much more than that. The VB will probably appreciate more over time

How many years of you not playing the Virtual Boy could you stomach waiting for the trade to appreciate enough for you to get a decent financial benefit out of it? That's probably the question. I've had it, it was fun and interesting for about 2-3 days. after that it was just too annoying to really use. And I had like, ten games

I keep nothing that doesn’t spark joy. I had tennis, teleroboxer, Tetris 3D whatever, warioland, Mario clash, virtual bowling and I believe pinball. It’s very hard to play the system in general, after ten to fifteen minutes you’d probably rather be reading a book.

Trade a playable system for a headache machine. That's a hard question! The VB is just a "investment" as it's unplayable trash. But you can play a XsX for extended periods of time with no discomfort. Tough!
